Yup. Not dead. Just dormant. Wonder if FAMU gonna double sell the same seat again like back in the 90s

Now all we need is a fire ass road trip schedule, hopefully somewhere on the East Coast to see NC A&T or Hampton, someone on the East Coast

We need a game in ‘19. Y’all care to bring the Jukebox to challenge the Marching Machine?

That would certainly bring 21,500 to Greensboro in September.

Man that would be nice. Probably should have your AD call Roman Banks our AD. I am sure Big Worm would love to take a team to his home state.

I was a kid when that happened, but I remember it so well. Official attendance was over 33,000...so packed that people were sitting in the stair ways...and our seats were right next to the SU section.

Crazy atmosphere

The Southern and FAMU rivalry is dead. Y'all do see what the downfall of FAMU's marching band has done to the Florida Classic, attendance and interest plummeted?

How come that doesn’t Correlate to FAMU’s home attendance...because it’s not true.

The Florida Classic attendance sucks for multiple reasons(if you can consider 45,000+ bad)...and the band isn’t one. Ask yourself why FAMU fans outnumber BCU fans every year...then look at the fact that FAMU hasn’t had a winning season since 2011...the last time the Florida Classic reached at least 60,000 people. Also, ticket prices have skyrocketed since they renovated Camping World Stadium.

The 2017 Florida Classic was one of the best atmospheres in Orlando in quite some time...and if FAMU is having a winning season, expect the attendance numbers to rise.

I wouldn't worry about it. Some of the same people wrote off the Bayou Classic a few years back. The last two years the game returned back to 60K+. Some fans from certain schools are merely envious and will spew negativity when they can.

You do know that there would be a return game in the 29,000 seat Mumford Stadium. But the distance is too far to make a SU and A&T rivalry economically viable over a long period of time. Our best bet is to play at a neutral site like Atlanta. A&T would do better if they started one with AAMU. There this one individual who used to post on here tried to advocate a home and home series between SU and Howard. His motives were based solely on DC's adult industry.

+1 #truth lol.

Jags, when you all are done w/ FAM, send’em on down ih10. We have a bone to pick w/ them. #DooleyEra

Southern make sure FAMU honor there return visit to Baton Rouge because they are known to have contracts bought out.

AAMU doesn't have the same pull that SU brings. The distance wouldn't be a problem on our end, and shouldn't be for the Jags. A 2020 game in Baton Rouge wouldn't bother us either. Our band would also charter a flight.

It sounds like there are many North Kackalacky folks who admire Southern University. Really, I don't blame them. They have good taste. I do believe that school approximately 40 miles west of ya'll would love to have us visit them too, but they are D2 and we see no need to travel to a D2 school unless they have some Power 5 Conference dough.

The days are long gone when Coach Rob got all of Lincoln Parish's yellow dog school buses to travel to games faraway like to North Kackalacky. I couldn't believe when one of my fellow co-workers who is from Grambling said that when he was a little boy, Coach Rob would take him and Grambling's current President Gallot on long trips on yellow school buses with the team. All I could do was image how rough and long that ride was.

Southern is must see TV!! I'm glad I'm a Jag!! We go hard!!

If your band comes to Greensboro, we would most certainly invite you all to a "Band Brawl" like we used to do with Norfolk State and SC State.
Nah, NCAT better ask Tennessee State, Texas Southern, and Jackson State about trying to battle the Jukebox in a gym battle. lol
