PLEASE IF YOUR NOT FROM SU DON'T RESPOND CUZ U DON'T KNOW. Someone from tha "U" can clear this up for me, is it true that the JUKEBOX isn't coming to Houston this year for the PV game because of what happened in Shreveport last year??? :shades:
 
I'm not from the U, but I'll take a stab at it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the JUKE will NOT be at the game this season, but not because of last year. As far as I understand, they have a prior major engagement.

A close friend of mine(who is a current band director and a 5year,former member of the Jukebox), spoke with Doc during an audition trip and said that Doc confirmed that they were not coming to Houston. I can't say why they are not coming, but I think it is because of a prior engagement.

For the record, Doc could care less about what another band does.
 
what happened last year?

this game is in Reliant Stadium....you got to sell seats and the rent ain't cheap...if it's true then the game needs to be moved to Prairie View....
 
Doc not coming to Houston....? Say, it is June. When we are a couple of weeks away, deal with the question then. There is no weight to anything one way or the other in June.

Thank you, no one knows for sure where they are going in the fall at this time if it's not a classic game.

I know what month this is, I heard this from someone that attends SU so don't come on here trying to get BULK with me about the question I asked...U can keep the smart comments to yourself yo....

I am with you. Let's take it to Blackshear with temporary bleachers to accomodate the over flow of people. TBF> make sure Mr. Clelland knows about this !
 
Tx_Finest...get ya panties out of a bunch. He said that because lots of things change between June and August/September/October. They may be planning not to be there now, and something changes between now and then.

Everybody needs to get their feelings out of their hard drive.
 
Maybe, I'm trippin' but what happened last year that would prevent us from coming to Houston for the game?? As of now, we do have a major engagement for that week, so we won't be attending the game, but the world will never know what's gonna happen. Personally, I'd love to go to H-town and kick it with Frat/Sorors over there at PV.

But that is still speculation since fiscal years won't start until 9/01 and all budgets are not final. Just like last year with you not going to Cali but you ended up going in the end.

that is going to be a low sales game. I know I will not be there if the J-box aint there. I love the team and all but I only get to see the band live once a year.

Come down... I'm stating the fact. All that know how the Jukebox operates, you want have reliable plans for the band until September. From what I've heard if the Jukebox doesn't come to the game, it will be great news for Southern Unversity due to the reasoning they wouldn't be there. So, whether they are there or not, it will be all good no matter which happens...
 
someone told me they were supposed to got to China or something like that

I rather play in Blackshear if they don't come...no parking for $7 and high concessions..last time we played SU in a smaller venue (Beaumont), they game was intense.
