Playing Devil's Advocate:
Though Book recorded the Jukebox up close and in the front still doesn't excuse the individuals on playing like that. People were playing very sloppy, improvising and should know better when you're in the Southern University Marching Band. Camera's are always on the Jukebox. No excuses, if any other band was recorded sounding like that many of the same people making excuses would be crucifying other bands, so stop all the excuses.:shame:
Not gullible at all, but i see both sides of the spectrum, don't know if Bookman's intentions were wrong but i say the band should never eva eva give someone the ammunition to record bad sounds coming from them. This is the age of technology, you should always be at your best, someone is always recording in these days and times, be it bad or good intentions.
So it's safe to say that bad positioning of a camera or mic can make ANY band sound like pure trash?
Because I remember a while ago, some of us made the arguement that it SHOULDN'T matter where the camera is positioned, if it sounds like shat up close, it'll sound like shat from further away or anywhere else.
I mean, the notes don't change because somebody changes the camera angle, or does it? LOL
Yeah...the arguement was somewhere along those lines.
Oh...and yeah...that WAS pretty rough Jukebox...

i pointed all what you said out in my first post...
This ain't bookman's first time doing this.. Knowing how cool him and frosty is... They both probably put each other up to it.... (wouldn't surprised)...smh
ain't no excuses being made... Just know bookmans.. Motives....
Ask him why don't he post the rest of his footage.. Don't be so gullible to some of these folk on here man..
That topic you are talking about was about "POWER"...not how a band sound... Most folk at football games are never that close taping no way...
As Malcolm X said about the assasination of Kennedy: "this is an example of chickens coming home to roost."....."I say it's justice"......LOL at me putting Book up to this.....i guess mayne.....if thats what yall pride wanna believe, so be it
but just FYI, i was cosigning what SWACdecider was saying....heyal, i didn't have to listen to the clip to know that it prolly sounds bad....when A)yall not on here praising them, B)i see J and Blade trying to defend a camera angle and C) its barely making 2 pages....
but to the purpose of the topic....its bullshat with camera angles....if i remember right, there was some clips of the Jsettes performing to PYT and the Boom was in parade formation....and they sounded good while in the formation and with the camera being so close....
As Malcolm X said about the assasination of Kennedy: "this is an example of chickens coming home to roost."....."I say it's justice"......
Wow! We mean that much to you, huh?

I see what exactly why everyone is jumping on the band wagon here, cause had it been any other band, SU is one of the first bands to crucify another band.
I shol' wish folks would stop lying on the "S" like this.
"One of", huh? Man, EVERYONE does the same isht if it ain't their band being talked about. You all just listen to what folks from the "S" has to say closer than others (cuz, you know we bring that product). There's a difference.
Exactly..they forget the isht folks from "other" bands say... and remembers all what we SU folk say...
Not surprised though....
It only make sense to phase out isht from bands that don't have the room to talk take heed to those who you know.. KNOW their shyt!!!
Good catch blade...
