:lol::lol:

I would love to see SU move to the Sun Belt. lmao Sike!!!!!!! Who ever win that conference go to the New Orleans Bowl.

let's hope so.:lecture::tup:
That way JSU can do what I always wanted them to do.
Leave this arse backwards run conference. :D

That "brand names of HBCU" athletics shat means absolutely nothing to PVers and Texans in general. Infact, I'm sure if you took a poll most Panthers simply wouldn't care if the "Big 3" left as most have little interest in SU anyway. Of the three, Grambling is the most appealing because we do play a high profile game with them. However, Grambling is "new" at the SFC and they can be replaced. PV can bring UAPB or Langston and the SFC wouldnt miss a beat. JSU doesn't register in Texas at all so we wouldnt miss them either.

When it comes to Panthers we could play the State Fair Classic (because thats OUR tradition), tsu, and the FCS schools in Texas and be fine. So with that said, we support su,gsu, and jsu "ditching" the SWAC.

Ask San Jose about replacing Gram (Morgan State) with some else in a classic. The difference in 30k plus largest crowd in history to 6k.

lol Well hell I moved all SWAC schools on this game to the MAC and of course put SU in the ACC :lmao: :lmao: Hell, every season I complete the teams in the MAC (swac schools) get better, hell even AAMU had a player to win the Heisman. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

It's also funny that AAMU beat Alabama and Ms State :smh: :smh: TxSU beat Army and JSU beat Kansas :lmao:

LOL:flippy::flippy:Only two Univiersities in the State of Texas don't have a decent stadium, that dog won't hunt. Who are they????

Aint it mane, and they talking all uppity. Don't have a pot to piss in but will try to call someone out in a hearbeat because of their bitterness.

I could have sworn this topic was about something else. Take that bitterness and bs over there. Back to topic. P.S. If you want to make a thread with SWAC budgets make you're own thread. We a discussing future plans and you Texas peeps are messing up the flow.:shame:

Speak to your folx making those wild comparisons of a large university w/ 50,000+ enrollment w/ a solid athl foundation lol over quite a few yrs to one who was traditionally ~2500-3000 and NOT graduating doctors, lawyers, judges, et al higher salaried @ the same clip. :emlaugh: It's one thing to pretend to be dumb but it's almost priceless when one can hang onesself w/ evidence that one really is a little mentally slow. :D :swink:

I'm still perplexed how ANYONE could think of purchasing a Ferrarri on a McDonald's french-frier salary. :emlaugh: You ppl are simply.... priceless for a good laugh. August 2010: Lets see who cuts their athl budget 2010-2011. And THEN lets see some more talk of bolting this conf vs maintaining. Maybe some will bolt for D-II or D-III. :swink:  :bawling: :emlaugh:

Why worry about it if you think it can't happen? :lecture: You Texas people are acting like this is a plan that will happen soon and i say Texas because it seems PV and TXSU folks are the only whining, i'm sure the people that are in favor of moving to another conference are relating to when the economy bounces back. There is nothing wrong with having a plan.

You all give me some e-mail addresses to presidents and athletic directors at your respective schools and I will send each one of the 10 schools a nice letter requesting them to set up an exploratory committee with each institution sharing the cost of a feasibility study to make an informed decision.....

Don't be surprised if Bama State gives you a negative response. Even though you kept their big rivalry with AAMU, you cost them their most personal one with Tuskegee.

And seriously, if what these Rattlers and dogs say is true, they aren't leaving the MEAC to be Western Kentucky of 1-A for a few games. That's why it would have to be twelve to ensure at least nine games where they, or anyone else in this conference, could realistically have an opportunity at bowl bids.

Great creativity though. Would love to see it work.

The proposal has to be for 12 teams so that you can actually have a championship game that doesn't count for postseason (isn't that some argument you all had for the SCG in the first place)...

However, some of these people won't be up for potentially playing some games on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday nights like other smaller I-A conferences do.

Lack of vision, along with overally stubborness won't allow for it to happen.

Potentially look at the markets this league JROCK talked about could have a foothold in either with markets near member schools and markets the schools play in (I'm pullin this off the Nielsen list of Local TV market universe estimates: 2009-10 market rank/2010 No. of TV homes)

So I just looked at the Nielsen numbers. First here are the market ranks for schools simply based off of location.8833

Texas Southern/PV
Houston: 10th largest TV market/2,123,460 homes

Bethune Cookman
Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne: 19th/1,455,620

Tennessee State
Nashville: 29th/1,019,010

Norfolk State/Hampton
Norfolk-Portsmouth-Newport News: 43rd/709,880

NC A&T State
Greensboro-High Point-Winston-Salem: 46th/691,380

South Carolina State
Columbia, SC: 79th/398,620

Alabama A&M
Huntsville-Decatur (Florence): 81st 390,900

Jackson State
Jackson: 90th/336,520

Southern
Baton Rouge: 95th/326,890

Florida A&M
Tallahassee-Thomasville: 106th/280,710

Alabama State
Montgomery-Selma: 118th/244,750

Grambling State
Monroe-El Dorado: 138th/177,200

That’s about 7 million or 8 million homes right there…

Now look at other markets where members play frequently/or nearby markets that the brand can grow into:

Dallas-Ft. Worth: 5th largest TV market/2,544,410 homes
Atlanta: 8th/2,387,520
Washington, DC: 9th/2,335,040
Charlotte, NC: 24th/1,147,910
Indianapolis: 25th/1,119,760
Raleigh-Durham (Fayetteville), NC: 26th/1,107,820
Birmingham (Anniston & Tuscalossa): 40th/742,140
Memphis: 50th/667,660
New Orleans: 51st/633,930
Richmond-Petersburg: 58th/553,950
Mobile-Pensacola (Ft. Walton Beach): 60th/534,730
Shreveport: 82nd/386,180
Augusta, Ga./Aiken, SC: 114th/255,950

I’m not the biggest math genius, but this is another 13 or 14 million there.

So this could be a group with a reach of up to 20 million homes.

Actually, you only need 10 teams to play nine-conference games. We wouldn't need championship game since everybody is playing each other. That would leave you with 3 OOC games, schedule 1 FCS opponent(Alcorn, MVSU, PV), 1 major BCS program(Texas, Ohio State, etc.) and 1 mid-level BCS program (BYU, Troy, etc).

You know some of these people can't imagine this unless someone white writes the proposal up. That's why the ones that are not for it can't see it.

I said leave the conference or get rid of dead weight years ago here when the playoff's were kicked to the curb. Me and a couple other's got beat down so much with that "grass is greener on tha white mans side crap" , I just said fugg it and took whatever the SWAC GODS said as law.

That why I have that "Win my 7 conference game" mentality now.

just for argument?
Why do ya'll think this will work with our schools.:lecture::retard::lol:

JUST LAST SEASON, people were bout to fall over dead at the thought that they could be playing on Thanksgiving day or near thanksgiving. People were more interested in a Turkey leg from home, talking about how students and fans will not show up because it's a holiday.

Remember on that level, they play during holidays, during the day, and sometimes at 11am. How in hell are ya'll gonna get these lazy fans to travel to a bowl game during the holidays when people complain about $20 tickets and road trips of more than 200 miles.
