I've seen some things in my short life, but I have never seen fans of a school punk their own band out of their seats. It takes SU to lead the way for stupidity. What's sad about it was that it was only 20 fans who sat in that area, it didn't fill up.

You give TSU two bands on their side and extra momentum if needed.

One of the worst things I've seen in my entire life, no class at all.

You better not treat PV like that this weekend, or we'll run the score up on you.

What's up Band Fan. I bet PV won't even bring thier band, We gonna punk your band into staying at home.

This was tsu's doing when they sold the band's seats. Most of the folks who bought those seats had already gone to the other side of the stadium. I think the Dome officials told the band to move.

Honestly, I don't see why anyone is blaming SU for it.

Who's fault was it that those were assigned seats in the first place? When they were in the process of giving SU assigned seats to pass out...why didn't they account for the band? They knew they were coming. TxSU's band section was blocked off, and I noticed that SU's wasn't, so where were they supposed to sit in the first place?

I have alot of questions about that game...cuz the whole thing was suspect. So, if Im missing any information, I'd like to hear about it. TSU missed out on alot of money this weekend by having that game in that museum. $20 a ticket?!?! Plus parking. And I know Reliant is going to get theirs, so how much did TSU make compared to having the game else where?

PS- What was the count in the dome? I still saw no reason not to have it in Robertson or Rice.

Alois Blackwell was the reason the games were moved. He saw dollar signs. I passed by Robertson after the game last week and I got sad looking at that big, empty place.

It would have been perfect for the SU game. But no, they go indoors, kill whatever factor the bands have and then the SU alumni punks the band out of their seats. Wouldn't have happened in Robinson with general admission seating.

So why did I see you jocking SU's Band after the game? Brought back memories of what coulda been huh?:p

Band Fan,
If I follow your logic, Seems to me that SU punked TSU out of a section on thier side of the field. Which was good because thier were too many SU fans for 1 side anyway.

If you were so concerned, why didn't you walk your skinny arse over there and ask them about it. You were only 2 sections over from them??? You could have settled it then.

Ryan please know what your talking about before you open your mouth. The Reliant Astrodome gave us a 3 for 1 package deal since they are hurting for money now. That package consisted of:

Prairie View
Alabama State
Southern

Why go and pay UH for Robertson when you've already paid for the Astrodome? Hell, Blackwell is from UH, why would he pass that chance to play there?

Why wouldn't we JV?

When UH was getting there track resurfaced some years ago, we charged them to come practice on ours. It's all about making money son. Why wouldn't they?

SMH

What are you talking about another Rent - a - stadium?

MD, you just worry about that D-1 coach you got under contract as pray that Pettway doesn't have a massive heart attack from that extra weight he's packing.

Ya'll be trippin'

The only reason SU band left section 273 (cuz I was in 269) was because tickets were sold to 273....TWICE!!!

There was a blackout during the day and when the computers came back on line, they reset to some previous setting in which double tickets were printed AFTER some of those SAME tickets were sold including the block in which the BAND was supposed to get!

The folks who were SUPPOSED to sit in that section (which happened to include some members of my family) just moved elsewhere since there was so much available seating on the TSU side! As a matter of fact, they happened to garner some empty 50 yard line seats!

If you want to blame somebody, blame Ticketmaster. The folks at the Astrodome were pretty POd about the whole thing!

So again, HOW THE HELL YOU BLAME THAT ISHT ON SU????

~smh~

Lewis, you live in Baton Rouge and wear 1988 Filas with Southern University ankle socks, enough said.

Chris, the original schedule had TSU and SU outdoors to begin with. You all probably lost a few bucks hanging out in the Dome this season. Black folks are not going to play $5 parking in addition to a $20 ticket.

You only drew 1,000 folks against ASU and you only had 19K for the SU game that traditionally draws 30K. Plus, you had a another empty game that was canceled by God last week. You all should be lucky.

Glad PV doesn't pay for the stadium. When we play SU next year iin Houston, I hope we don't make that same mistake.

They can blame us because we are the Kings/Queens of the SWAC, and they are NOT!!!!!!.

The best is always getting slandered, cheated on and accused, you ain't know JD???

If 20 folks punked a band of 160, something went wrong. You can tell Greggs is getting older, he actually stood for that. If that happened at PV, we would have told them take your azzes to another area. There are 40,000 empty seats in here.

Will somebody explain to me how the visiting team's side is reserved seating and the home team's side is general admission??? Wait, was there a difference in price??? I wouldn't know because I was given a ticket.

Did TSU charge SU more than they charged everybody else???

Somebody help me out with this one.

Usually the second level is reserved seating, and the price of those tickets were $20 - $25 dollars. The lower level was supposed to be general admission ($8.00), but i spoke with a lot of SU peeps who were charged $20.00 dollars to sit in the lower level on SU's side. It was all screwed up. I blame TSU because it was their home game.:D

WHAT??? You didn't think I would blame the NATION did you?:emlaugh:

Look at poor ole Robber, always concerned about SUperior.

You so damn paranoid that you missing the point. I was asking a legit question.

Seriously, how in the hell can the visiting team have reserved seating and the home side be general admission. Unless, they were charging SU fans more than TSU fans, it makes no sense. That freaked me out when I heard it. Everybody knew that dome was not gonna come close to selling out. So why make the visiting side reserved seating????

Lacumba,

What did you pay for your ticket on the TSU side???

See, the plot was just too thick for it to be SU's fault...even the moving of the band.

Robber:
TxSU had tickets on campus for $8 (w/ student ID, I think). I've seen some regular $12 tickets from TicketMaster. And at the gate, it was a flat Twank ($20)...w/ SU's side being assigned, and TSU's being GA.

The whole thing seemed fishy from the git go, cuz I also heard that the game was originally schedualed for Robertson Stadium. Which then tells me, that they didn't make this "3fa'1" deal till right before the Labor Day Classic.
