that's the ? why y'all playing us in Mobile instead of FAMU...Hicks has to answer to why he is giving up our home game from alumni who want the game in Huntsville..
It just needs to happen at this point...we’ve only played each other 5 or 6 times in an 18 year span...we’ve effectively killed a great rivalry and it seems neither athletic department realizes it.
However, I became less of a fan of Mobile when we played Tuskegee...it was a headache to pick up tickets if you ordered them online...the stadium is just as rusty and old as Bragg Stadium lol

We've been trying to schedule y'all, the issue might be on your end.
Man i know. When we played Bama st in 2008 at Mobile it felt like i was in a twilight zone. Southern and FAMU is a REAL RIVALRY GAME! That game there is electric!! Trust me if the ole heads had to pick FAMU to replace jst in the Swac, we would definitely pick yall.

Talk to your athletic administration, SU’s AD was on Jaguar Journal and said SU has tried really hard, even said a promoter stepped forward.

Mobile is 2.5 hours from BR. It will be another SU Home game trust. We use to play Bama St in Mobile and it was another SU Home game lol.

I would love to see AAMU play FAMU in Mobile, but I don't think that will ever happen anytime soon. The SU game should stay on campus in Huntsville.

Truth be told, Baton Rouge and Mobile were once Spanish territory along with the panhandle of Florida. Also, a lot of Creoles left Mobile for Louisiana (St. Landry and Avoyelles Parishes/the Guillory family came from there/Dauphin Island) once the British invaded it and kicked the French out. I do believe Mobile has way more in common to Louisiana than Huntsville. I guess that's why Mobile has the oldest Mardi Gras celebration in the country. Louisiana aristocratic Creoles initially settled in Natchitoches, LA and they came straight from France, whereas a lot of Creoles in St. Landry and Avoyelles Parishes came from places like Mobile, AL.
Here's an interesting read of the Guillory family who came from Dauphin Island, Mobile, AL with that 1/32th Negro blood.

After Toussaint L'Overture kicked the French out of Haiti, Napolean saw his America territory shrinking, so he offered Thomas Jefferson a deal that Jefferson couldn't resist, which was the purchase of the entire Louisiana Purchase for $15 million dollars. Jefferson initial offer was to purchase New Orleans and part of the east bank for $5 million dollars. The British actually tried to take New Orleans during the War of 1812 in 1815, but Andrew Jackson repelled that attack, hence giving the name of the area called English Turn in New Orleans. Jackson caught the English at the bend of the river (just before the first Crest in the river south of New Orleans) and shot holes in their ships. There's a golf course neighborhood on the westbank of New Orleans called English Turn. This is why Andrew Jackson is such a popular figure in New Orleans. The United States pretty much stopped the British Empire aggressive colonization in America.
