SU 2015 FB Schedule

I hear that the conference does that. They don't like games being played the same time every year. JSU-SU try to stay in mid-October but the Commish won't allow it.
 
I still see no reason why we as HBCUs need 2 FBS Games when you have old MEAC rivals in the wings.

Me personally, I think one of the things that made those SWAC vs MEAC Games so legendary was the underlying House vs. Field mentality.

SU vs. FAMU should be played every year. Screw Louisiana Tech. I'm not to happy about Alcorn's ass signing up for Georgia Tech either when it's been YEARS since TN State was on the schedule.

We talk about "buying from our own", "generating from our own", but we always put the FBS on the schedule.

It's the nature of the beast in college football...is Tennessee State and FAMU giving you $1 million in guarantees to play?

Plus ... the 9-game mandate is the real culprit when it comes to scheduling.

Im sure that neither TNState or FAMU were even available. FAMU has to wait to get a return game from JSU.

I would have to agree with you. I can't go and watch that in Athens. However I am glad we got a bye week afterwards to get healthy.

oh ok thats been a good minute...and yeah Mathis use to give SU hell...

that sack fumble he put on yall QB with Jamal Ware scooping it up for a TD in the 2002 Circle City was THE PLAY....Coach Tony Dungy was at the game and the rest is history

But wasn't it a few years ago Grambling was playing 2 FBS schools a year? I want to say they did it one season with Bruce at QB and a few years after that.
 
Opening SWAC against SU instead of Alabama State will feel odd.. :lol:


Hopefully with New Mexico not being a powerhouse FBS school we can be healthy going into the game

That Valley game is going to be pretty interesting in the Delta. Valley showed some flashes of improvement late in the season.
