SU’s Next Head Coach

The strategy behind this decision involves several factors. SU should avoid overpaying for a coach, which would allow for a longer contract duration. It is essential for the new coach to understand the dynamics of NIL and the transfer portal. Most importantly, the next coach must adopt a mentality that aims not only to compete against SWAC programs but to excel against all FCS teams.

So, you have coaches who want to continue to coach FBS or high-level FCS who will not look at the job, so then are there any hot DII coaches ready to make that jump? Also, with the quick trigger for losing, will anyone with a good rep be willing to take that risk? This one is going to be tricky.

Honestly....a coach at another high level FCS program coaching at JSU, GSU, or SU is a win for him. He has less of a concern about trying to go to the playoffs.

All we need is for Alcorn, PV, Alabama State, Alabama A&M to come with wins and have more TV time. They have the stadiums for great TV games.

But aPVm doesn't have an ardent and supportive fan base outside of 3 games (LDC, SFC, HCing). It would be a negative to show the empty bleachers @ a "normal" type game @ aPVm. Checkout the utrgv and nwst games on SWAC-TV for reference. Every time the camera panned the stands, I cringed.

I feel you....I think our universities need to emphasize things to the production crews. The first thing is to be honest...

Camera positioning for optics is real, Found.

I know we tried to address it by sending the PV undergrads and band to our east side stands where the visiting team sits but we quickly found out that was not a good idea (melee's). Vociferous and emotional undergrads near opposing team family members is never a good combo.

Mike Tomlin, James Franklin, Nick Saban

No more SWAC misfits!

That's how we roll 😁
All BS aside, there's a decently respected up and coming HS HC here in TX who actually told me he would love to promote onto the SWAC atmosphere. He hails from one of those traditional families where father was state winner and experienced a LOT of success.

He will fit right in @ SU. #1, he's YT and we know how y'all SU YT people feel about us colored dark folk on y'alls campus (see coach Odums for reference). Seriously, think the coach @ utrgv right now and how he ascended to almost instant success. That's how dude is plugged in around here. IJS'n. 👀

They should have kept them over there. Harassing the visiting team is the fans job. Just add a little more security when the game ends.

I know we joked about Eddie Rob background when he got hired but he has been a dang good recruiter
Eddie Rob teams are tough. He finally got an offense, and his defensive coaches dipped out. That defense to this day, per #2, was the toughest defense he faced in college.

Fi, we had marching storm members getting those folk too riled up. I sat above them all, listened, and witnessed all that harrassment. The visitors were incensed, along w/ the visiting football team and coaches.

I thought we were supposed to be accommodating, not hostile.

lol

Man they panned out of the Gram homecoming game. It was empty on the visitor side. Gram should have enough fans to fill in their side and half the visitor side.
