The 12-year study highlights the incongruence between drug use and incarceration rates along racial lines.

"Our findings add to the growing debate on how the war on drugs has affected African Americans," said Teplin. "We found that African Americans are less likely than other racial/ethnic groups to abuse hard drugs. Yet African Americans are disproportionately incarcerated for drug crimes."

The problem with White and black conservatives is they live in denial. Most of the white Christian party has done dope, screwed like hoes and drunk more liqour then the drunk in the gutter by 25. +1. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing new about this "new" news smh. 764 of us grad'd, 13 coloreds, and the rest white. I saw w/ my own eyes what those $$$-privileged dummies were doing since the 5th grade. Not 6th but 5th grade. They thought it was a joke as they tried to entice others to do the same stupid shat they were doing, which is what their PARENTS were doing also. ::read:: My mother stayed freaking out when I brought one of those spaced out guys/girls home through the years, as they temporarily ran away from home lol, driving their parents big-body benz or big bmw/porsche/caddy. Some of the vehicles I drove up in cost 5X as much as the little wood frame house we lived in lolololololololololol.
