I think Tillery's the most important skill guy in Southern's offense. Yeah, we got Willie and those receivers, but when Tillery gets going the offense is virtually unstoppable. Also, I expect Tillery to get even more involved in the passing game than he was last year.

But I don't understand this Herbert vs. Quinn pissing contest going on. If it's going to be like this for some preseason All-America list ... then I can't wait for next week when they announce who is on the All-SWAC preseason teams.

You seriously can't be this irrational... Can't be man! You're comparing yards per touch between a fvcking WR and a RB?!! You do know WRs on average get around 10 yards per catch... I wish you would have thought a little bit more before you posted that.

Lol. He posted that with emotion... Zero thought! He was trying TOO hard to prove that point.

I'm going to send Willie's stats and his highlights (to show his "explosive plays") to The Sports Network and ask them to reconsider their list. They left someone off...
 
Hebert led FCS, not just the SWAC, but FCS, in All-Purpose yards. So there's the logic of having him on the team as an all-purpose back. Willie Quinn was 21st in FCS.

Maybe because PV was always getting scored on ... Hebert had more KO return yards than Quinn. Hebert had 32 returns for 921 yards (28.8 ypr) compared to Quinn's 25 returns for 645 yards (25.8 ypr).

I know Hebert played Rb but we were comparing all purpose yards. In Orlando's offense Hebert was used as a WR a lot. Let's not act as if Hebert didn't have a ton of receiving yards.

Also SU rotated Kick returners. Quinn, Danny Johnson, and Richardson.

Hebert had 269 receiving yards, 1063 rushing yards and 921 KO return yards

Nah. This is what TSPN is all about. You can change the name, but you can't change the culture. I love it! When the two meet head to head, it'll make for interesting talk.

BBF, you may not have been on TSPN when Mike Bigg said, "Two words: Ab Kuuan" or when GR highlighted the "WMD's".....it's a beautiful thing, I'd say.

SUJag if you had his numbers why would you even say he had a "ton" of receiving yards? Last time I checked a measly 269 yards after 10 games was not a "ton".
 
Despite all of this stuff, all I know is Willie Quinn can take it to the house at any point in the game, he'll be on a post-season list for sure. It also helps on kickoff returns that we have another returner that can and will take it to the house as well.
 
It's cool to have the disagreements about the pre-season lists, that's one of the reasons why they do the lists. It gives folks something to talk about. If you didn't have the pissing contests, it would be rather boring on here during the off-season. lol

FTR, su was not impressive in the game vs PVAMU. PVAMU statistically DOMINATED the game in every category, including the most important one that sealed our fate, turnovers smh. Tillery & that solo 98 yd kr sealed our fate.

Don't forget, you played us when we didn't have our normal lineup of players. Injuries and certification issues were hitting us hard at that time.
