Or get told the same body is conducting another study to determine what La based FCS schools should move to DII.It's some shat somewhere.Gram, SU, don't y'all "find" yourselves recruited into a La based fcs conference.

LSU struggles with multimillion-dollar athletics deficit: ‘We've got to stop that bleeding’ • Louisiana Illuminator
After years of minimal profits, LSU athletics is now tens of millions of dollars in the red.share.google
Pissing off these universities while LSU President says LSU is " bleeding" money, but going after these smaller schools. According to this article LSU has over spent it's budget by $177 million over the past 6 seasons. $44 million last season & about $27 million this season projections. I'm sure LSU can raise the money easier to cover their deficits ,but it's still a bit of a slap in the face to those schools.
I say let them fight.
They just take it from the lesser school. Sleezy bs!!![]()

TF?! Grambling State too? smhFive Louisiana FCS Programs Could Drop Below Division I
Five Louisiana FCS programs are part of a $150,000 University of Louisiana System review that could ultimately recommend moving them out of Division I.
Grambling, McNeese, Nicholls, Northwestern State and Southeastern Louisiana are among the eight universities included in the systemwide athletics review being conducted by Deloitte. UL System President Rick Gallot has said the consultant’s recommendations include no limitations, including possible moves to Division II or Division III.

The economic impact of the Bayou Classic should be enough to exclude GSU.SU isn't under the UL system so they aren't a part of the study so maybe our older brother adopts us into their SU system if them folks come for us. Tony Clayton of Southern has already suggested this plan in the past.
Go Jags!
The economic impact of the Bayou Classic should be enough to exclude GSU.
The current conference revenue share plus projected conference revenue shares should assist with that also.
Yes sahhhhh. What % of the football budget is dedicated to football coaches (head coach included) and support staff? Between the BC, SFC, 1 fbs game, rev share from conference, et al, that should suffice, imho. The economic impact of the Bayou Classic should be enough to exclude GSU.
The current conference revenue share plus projected conference revenue shares should assist with that also.
If we're being honest, Louisiana has way too many 4-year public institutions for its size and population. And it is well documented how the state of Louisiana intentionally created some of these PWIs over the years to prevent Black students from attending them.
Nichols State, McNeese State, and SLU were all established after Grambling was founded in 1901.
