The game could not draw flies in fourth largest city in the U.S., but will supplant a well established game between PV and Gram having better programs? Laughable.

You Jags continue to amuse. You will always be second fiddle to the Icon of BCF. What is the adage again? If you cannot beat ‘em join ‘em.

You're forgetting TxSU won ONLY 2 GAMES the whole season and the game still attracted over 12,000 people in Houston. Two weeks ago, we fired our offensive and defensive coaches and we should see more changes over the off-season so we're expecting a more competitive team come 2018. And as we all know, the better the football team the bigger the crowds.

First of gSUpertiger. What's up man?! Next, you know damn well this was a TxSU idea and SU went along with it since that game don't do well in Houston or BR. LOL. Third thing, Us Jags never take a back seat to you gSU folks. You just started coming back to the BC a couple of years ago after SU has had to carry it for the last decade or so. So slow your roll. We are glad you mofos decided to come back. You know yall are front running band wagon fan base. Don't let someone post poor Coach Rob's last home game. You will never live that down. Now that yall winning again, here comes the bravado. And you can leave PV out of it when talking about having better programs conversation. Well maybe when you refer to TxSU. But certainly not SU. Welcome back to the board man!

To my favorite BuckeyeJag - all is well especially as I recap an image on my phone of the 30 points (which almost matches G-Men SWAC titles - buy you some) illuminating from the Superdome scoreboard (from a lovely Sat. evening after Thanksgiving). Lol. Now you know you can kill that welcome to the board nonsense as I was represent the Grambling way at all times - that is win and lose with the greatest humility (with the exception of the Jags). Been here front and center representing the Icon.

It must be a lot of pain to realize that SU is only a footnote in the storied history of Icon Gram. The only reason SU is a footnote is because of Pete taking advantage of Coach Rob preparing for his golden years. Now Fobbs is removing that footnote and guiding SU back to its natural state football obscurity.

Watch the Celebration Bowl my boy! G-Men will restore balance back to the SWAC and give you Jags ammunition to envy the Icon of BCF!

To really make this game pop, Yes SU will show up, but adding this and promoting this and start promoting this 2 months ahead of the game date will bring out more ppl to the event.
Promote Promote 2 months ahead of the game date I repeat. CREATE A IG PAGE, CREATE A website page,

1. I'll see if the Migos schedule is clear and book them to perform afterwards

2. Do not book any old school R&B acts, like Avant, or Case, or Faith Evans, this adds nothing to the event. Book either Migos for a 5 song set or Travis Scott, I doubt you can get a J.Cole, but get a big artist to cater to the 17-27 crowd. Migos would be my go to, if not them get SZA

Matter of fact, book SZA for after the game. She can do 3 to 4 songs, maybe 5
SZAAAAA should be booked to perform.

3. Book someone for your older crowd, such as maybe a Maze, or maybe Charlie Wilson, I'll go with Charlie Wilson for a concert after the game if the game is doing the day, include that in the price of the ticket if so. Some type of package deal.

4. Have a tail-gate party in the parking lot before the game and give out FREEEEEE food and drink.

5. That Friday night, have a Greek- Step off (only 4 of them perform) and the rest stroll, have a nice DJ to play songs between and then cap it off with a BOTB 15 rounds

Bighead for SWAC Commish.

This will turnout great for the fans and great for the promoter's pockets
Migos at the State Fair of Texas? LOL

I doubt if the game sells well. The only reason the SFC sells well is because it gives the "folx" of DFW something to do. Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with the teams. 70% of the fans are only there to see and be seen. It's very evident when the crowd is normally less than 5K at the start of the 4th quarter.

And I don't think the "folx" of DFW will return back to the Fair Grounds two weeks later.

Play PV-Grambling at Grambling or PV and it wouldn't sell out.

1) There's over 1 million black folx in DFW. Approximately 50K people are at the The State Fair Classic, most of which drove from Houston (PV fans) and North Louisiana (Grambling fans).

2) People will be very curious of what the atmosphere will be like. Texas Southern hasn't played a game in Dallas in a very long time and SU hasn't played in Dallas since the 80s. PV and Grambling been playing in Dallas for over 30 years.

3) The bands .... black folks love live music and again we have very popular bands. And our bands are different and better than Grambling and PV in my opinion.

I was at the sTu vs UAPB football game in dallas. You need to hush up this non-sense mane. smh Those PV/GSU fans bought one ticket; I seriously doubt they buy 2.

Will you all be bringing your "ICONIC" wheelbarrow to the ATL.? lmao

I would say the majority of the folks at the SFC drove under 2 hours to get there.

SU plays TCU Labor Day Weekend

You meant SU is popular.

No offense, but the Ocean isnt even the most popular HBCU band in Houston. In fact, it's the 3rd. The success of this game will depend on Southern fans. They actually have a presence here in DFW plus they travel.

Out of that "milli", only 50K show up for the SFC and over 30k have no association to either school with the exception of their roots from LA or TX. Most of which of the fans drove from Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Oak Cliff. Not as many out of towners as you think.

This is the only only hope. The main question, is will this game draw the DFW peeps. Again, not that many of the "milli" will pay to go back out there.

This is why the SFC is a draw. Has nothing to do with the participating schools. If PV and gSU were replaced with SU and tSU on the same weekend, I could see a crowd resembling the current size.

1) That was in November and not during the State Fair which draws hundreds of thousands to the vicinity of the stadium ... big difference.
2) TxSU has been playing SU longer than UAPB so SU is a bigger rival
3) We're not looking for loyal PV/GSU fans ... what part of that don't you understand? Do you really think of the 1 million black people in DFW, most are loyal PV/GSU fans? Get out of here. Most black people in DFW haven't set one foot on either campus and are just looking for a good time. And there are TxSU/SU alumni deep in DFW too

Speak your mind. And yes I agree the Jukebox is very popular but so are we and will be even better next year. Did PV or Grambling band perform with Solange this year and had her shout out their band to her millions of followers? Did PV or Grambling band lead the first ever Astro World Championship parade with had nearly 750K in attendance? And yes I know PV marched in Macy's which is great but only young kids and old white people checking for that event ... let's be honest.

And TxSU has more DFW representation overall. We have thousands of students from DFW. SU maybe has less than 50 students from DFW. And when it comes to alumni, I would say it's about equal representation. There are hardly any good jobs in BR so SU alumni gotta move to DFW, Houston, Atlanta, etc

Actually I will be in the ATL. Check your PM. You know I got to keep SOGGY and Kenn in line while I am there. We also need to convince TBF to come back home to the SWAC. Maybe he should apply for the SWAC Commish Job. He has my vote.

I dare you to put the Ocean's resume up against the Marching Storm's. You're bragging about the Ocean performing with Solange on her Instagram when the Storm has performed with Beyonce on national television. 750k at a local championship parade (when the Storm was already booked) vs 3.5 million in New York and a worldwide television audience. Come on now.

Ya'll know I love numbering ...

1) Nice try but the parade was televised live worldwide which is how I saw it. And Houston is far from just a "local" city, it's an international city with a huge reach and market.
2) When the Storm performed with Beyonce and did Bey even acknowledge them? What big name artist can they attach themselves to "Lately" in the immortal words of Tyrese. And last year our band performed live on Primetime TV (Fox) when Michael Strahan was in town for a NFL game so we're even there.
3) And listen I would rather lead a major and historic parade then be in one where I'm randomly place in the middle somewhere amongst many other bands.

Had to go back and look at this one... great look for PV.

Migos at the State Fair of Texas? LOL

Is it a bad idea or something? I don't get it.

I mean would they draw a crowd? Are you saying nobody wants to see the hottest group in Rap?

Maybe the idea is bad, just want to get your thoughts?

They like safer acts like R&B. If it is a rapper it would be Flo Rida like they had there before the SFC this year.
