I have willie slater on my list at the beginning of this thread.... He will be the coach because he has the resume and by coaching standards he is still young... 50...... He brings a great scheme... A run based offense that producess big plays and points. He will bring his DC with him and that will be good for the JAgs....

very swell I hear jsu gets nothing but the best.... I heard they are now interviewing Sean Payton.... They feel confident that he will come there especially since he was there for the Saints last 3 training camps... they are the Mighty jsu....

Wow..................tough audience. I've had the opportunity to visit each of your alums (Alabama State being the exception, but I hope to visit) and attend f'ball games. I've had the opportunity to see your coaches (past and present) in live action. From my pov, what I saw from Coach Spears was an extreme-style, do-or-die type of football action; what I saw from Coach Richardson was a more no-nonsense style, straight-to-the-point type of action. I guess since I'm so used to seeing the SU squad play this type of leave-no-doubt ball, it would be strange, IMO, to see them go in the direction of Coach Spears. But as most of the SU alum have said, maybe it was time for a change.

But I've been wrong about so many things in my life.................I'm likely to wake up tomorrow (God willing) and find out that Coach Spears is the Head Football coach for the Jags.

And btw, I myself, personally hope that UAPB does not pick anyone from the SWAC for our OC.
