Troy gave S.U. a reality check yesterday in more ways than one. The question is, what are we going to do with it.

From what I saw, he did not. My problem is forcing something that is not there. If the player is not open, one has to throw the ball out of bounds and live for another day. 4 interceptions are ridiculous (2 from the starter and 2 from his backup).

Who is the QB coach?

Athletic RBs playing QB can go only so far, imho. Until last night, I almost forgot what a pure QB looked and played like.

Grossi (the OC). I saw a couple of other things that I didn't like outside of the QB decision-making thing that S.U. needs to clean up quickly. I know if I saw it the coaches did and for their sake, they need to address it. Look, no one expected to pull the upset....just do things the right way.

I agree; however, in my opiinon, you learn more in a defeat than a victory. My question to you is how many changes did the coaching staff make after Odum departed? If the system changed slightly or alot, what were those changes? Also, remember, SU did not have a spring to adjust if the system changed. Last, but not least, do you all have a quarterback controversy?

Go look at the replay on ESPN and make your own assessment. However my answer is no to all of your questions.
 
southern always start out this way, just wait till mid season and they will get going.
 
Southern will do well in the SWAC and beat the hell out of teams like prairie view. Most of the teams in the SWAC simply aren’t on S.U. Level right now…..not close to what my comments encompass.

Hope everything goes as planned. Really looking forward to this game for sure. By that time, our 8 LDC holdouts will be available and hopefully experienced enough to give SU the competition it deserves.

And both quarterbacks (Skelton/Lampley) are veterans that should be excelling at this point of their careers. We will be better in SWAC play for sure.
