BBQBengal, I would suffice to say that this game was the Heritage Bowl against a MEAC 1st Tier...and JSU played in the Heritage Bowl, when? Oh, they playedin the playoffs...and lost to who? EVERYBODY
So, I took a shoot and miss. My memory slipped me about BC being a 1-AA school. :xeye:

To all you SU folks

Im going to say this one more time, and Im going to end mine.

Yall have turned into one of the biggest coward ass schools in BCF. Color it any way you want, you are now in the habit of avoiding a competitive non conference schedule against quality HBCUs. Now, its your choice to play anyone you want, just like its my choice to call you what you are?..A DAMN COWARD. You have done your best to eliminate any competition in the name of making a few extra dollars and having a shallow winning record. If you want to kiss your sister that?s your choice. But don?t come around here poking your chest out with a 8-3 record with wins over ?Sisters of the Poor? and ?St. Marys Mother of Our Savior.?

JSU fans admitted that playing New Haven was a mistake. The President chose that game because it was his hometown. But the fact is they were much better than all of the SWAC teams we played. The proof was in the pudding.

ASU and SU?..yall are both

COWARDS

Im sorry, I just hate a coward.

Cowards for not finding a school with the same open date and being turned down by all the schools that did? Just have your arse in the dome Sept 21.

So, according to GR, if they are related somehow, it's okay? Well, Miles coach is a former Southern University quarterback.

Yep, your HYPOCRITIC oath is still in effect. Plus, not one Jag on here has said we would agree with that opponent. But football is not just a game anymore. At least at Southern (I don't know about some schools anymore), it's a business too. While I would rather see a HBCU with some credibility come in to Mumford, they won't without a home contest first or a return date in 2003. Therefore, without the need to schedule a away game, they should go after the 12th game as a home game and get who they can.

YOu keep using that two home game criteria as the excuse for why you schedule these subpar teams. You go after Benedict cause they will come to SU twice. The fact is your school is scared....period. Lets just call a spade a spade.

I would hate to affiliate myself with such a yellow bellied instituion.

Sooooooooo, I guess

when this so-called "yellow-bellied" institution puts major wampum arse whuppin' on those Rebel-Tiggers, then that would make you....????

You got it wrong K'Int Handler. No one is looking for two home games in a row or two home games period. Southern, apparently, just feels that it needs another home game, which for selfish reasons I agree with, and does not want to provide a return trip. This is business GR. Why would Southern schedule somebody who only wants them because of the $$$$ they can make off of Southern fans when SU comes there?

I think they are looking for someone (in a home-away series) who will at least bring some fans to Baton Rouge. Why you think Northwestern St and Alabama A&M moved their games? MONEY! They both know they can make more having those games in Shreveport and Indianapolis than in Natchitoches(15,000) and Normal (21,000). That's the same attitude Southern is taking. They are looking for another home game that could be a One-time game like Nicholls is this year and Morris Brown was. No return trips, no series, nothing. Most of the credible HBCU and 1-AA teams want that return trip and they are correct in wanting that. However, since Southern thinks they don't need that and for all purposes, are in the position of strength on this, why do it? SU won't die if they don't get a 12th game, but return trips to schools like Nicholls, Northwestern, and even Tulane are vital to THEM, not SU.

Whatver man....

Its business? Since when is not playing Alcorn not business since. Since when is playing FAMU not business since? Since when is not playing TnSU not good business since? Since when is avoiding JSU next year have anything to do with business?

Try that crap on someone eles. Both you and I know that one home game against Alcorn is worth twice as much as a game against "LA School of the Blind." You are afraid and that is the bottom line.

Maybe so, but do you want to call Alcorn and ask them what they said to our offer? Granted, they probably deserve a return game, but when anyone goes up there, they are crammed into the small ass visitor side. Then again, I wouldn't expect a JSU fan to realize that since y'all have bamboozled them into thinking that it is better to make money in Jackson rather than have the advantage in Lorman.

Alcorn said NO to our offer and that is the bottom line. Plus, they rotate back on next year. The other two bring SU nothing except good competition. Neither one of them have brought fans to SU and it would be another tract of "Bring the Nation to US because we need the revenue." We get nothing out of that IF we don't win the game. If we do win, that's all we get. Plus, since you mentioned those two, FAMU and SU mutually agreed NOT to meet this year. That's why they are not there because Nov.2nd is usually the week we play them. TnSU was a similar situation too. They had a game for Nov.2 and couldn't move it. They play Eastern Illinois on Nov.2, and the only day they have off is Oct.19, which if they played us, they would have NO off days. We only have the 19th, Nov.2nd, and the weekend before the BC (Nov.16th). I know they would like to avoid playing before the BC again, so it would be one of the other two.

You better hope SU comes to Jackson next year. If not, your athletic departement is going to fold up.

If this aint the biggest and best example of blind myopic Southernese I have ever seen, then I dont know what is. How on this Earth can anyone from SU ever ever EVER EVER complain about seating at someone elses stadium.

If you go to another school and they give you newspaper and tell you to sit on the ground, you should be happy to do it simply because of the way you treat visitors in that hell hole you call a stadium. At least you can get a nice view from the hill at Alcorn. Shheeeeesh this is stupid. At least Alcorn is cordial enough to provide a visitors side and not that crappy 10 foot high set of baseball stands yall throw 25 yards out of the back of the endzone for visitors.

Alcorn probably deserves a return game? ALCORN PROBABLY DESERVES A RETURN GAME? ALCORN PROBABLY DESERVES A RETRUN GAME? That is one of the stupidest damn SWACPAGE statements I have ever heard. A model of self center myopic blind SU arrogance.

You SU people never cease to amaze me. Thats why I love you so.

GR is just sked. Ask him if So Miss will be coming to Jackson next year? How much are they being paid to go to So Miss. He's just jealous. We are not on their level, we don't stoop that low.

Diesel.

Another form osf SU arrogance....

I have already prepared for SU not to come to Jackson. You guys asre simply cowards and are doing your best to avoid competition. So maybe we will survive.

Are you depending on us for your survival? Guess you are not on our level.

GR,
Call it what you like, but you need the money. Now set the game up and wait on Daddy to help you pay your bills. That's not so hard to do.

And what exactly am I afraid of?

You SU falks are trying to spin this. I have to give it to you, your much better at this than Bama folks are, but its not going to work. This thread is about your cowards ass non agressive easy picking athletic department that would challenge Spelman.

But whatever makes you guys happy, tickles me pink. I just hate a coward and will point on out in a minute.

Stop your Lunatic Ranting!

You are jackson state and we are SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY. We play all chumps on our terms. You sound like one of Cinderalla's step sisters with all of the S.U. whining. Understand that you are only a 2nd class citizen in S.U. world and no one gives a good hot damn what little you think. Try to concentrate on ending the drought that started in 1996 and paying MASSA rent in the interim and everything will eventually fall in order. Handle the Bama's 1st then we may let you have a dialogue with the SUpreme team of the SWAC albeit you will not be able to use the front door.

BTW, do something about the Ole Miss colonel colors. Are you all not tired of emulating you MASSA. Dont you know yall's free. Do something about that damn confederate flag you play under so subserviently.

And last but not least simply stay the hell out of DADDY'S business and get you some.
