Dem dudes just might come down to SU and bang the Jaguars. You all should be glad that there is an unfamiliar opponent on the schedule. Makes the season interesting. Who cares about the quality of their band, its the score at the end of the game that counts. They may have a few more brothers on the team than you think. Schools in that part of the country attract players from mid-western cities (especially in basketball). The same players that we can't recruit to get on I-57 to attend our schools.

Welcome to the SWAC Football for the next two years JackRabbits and good luck.

Here is a link to the band:

If you are flying in from KCI, then you can get a direct flight into NO or even BTR(its been a while since I was in Kansas City...had a layover in Memphis from BR and I flew Norwest).

Lots to do in New Orleans, French Quarter Bourbon St, River Walk, Swamp Tours, etc...

Check out www.nola.com or you can always call the Convetion and Hotels Bureau for either NO or Baton Rouge. Plus there's lots of GOOD grub here in either N.O. or Baton Rouge. Only thing is N.O is about a good hour from Baton Rouge or you can always stay in Gonzales which to me is the half way point...

89rabbit,my wife and i walk to SU`s home games,we live that close. If you need any info let me know.My wife works there and our son is a student.

also tailgaiting the day of the game is a must do. The atmosphere of the JAGUAR NATION tailgaiting is second to none at this level. There will be at least 80 RVs and thousands of tailgaters. :lmao:

Yall take it easy on 89 Rabbit during the game.

Rabbit, the Jag fans are cool before and after the game, but during the game they can be downright violent.

Antroy, some say that is part of our "charm". 89, we are just rabid fans of our team ..... that's all.

violent, nasty, crazy.....watch out for folks on the East Side of the Stadium....if you take the lead late in the game...start your engines early

they paid you $50,000....SU can throw that kind of money away? I guess that's what happened to the Asst. SID Money and the baseball bathroom money

That sounds a little like A&T.

Apparently you've never been on the WESTSIDE...the BESTSIDE... :nod2:

How would Praire View know about taking a lead let alone a lead late in the game?

The west side is home to the seditty folks...no cheering unless the students do something...I've sat on both sides.....talk trash....go to the East Side....you may be sitting next to a drunk

89rabbit,

When are they gonna build yall a dome like they did for U. of North Dakota and ND State? It starts getting a little chilly outside by the fall.

2001...the week before the classic? remember, the year you lost? 28-26....late third quarter...Pete's job was basically gone

1992.....same situation

Bruh you really need to get some medication to help cure your problem. PV isn't,haven't and never will be that important to SU fans that they would start fighting.

I always knew that you had some personal issues but to stoop this low as to get online and tell a bald face lie about our fans being violent in an effort to sabotage our game and even worse make SDSU visit uncomfortable is beyond pathetic. You really need to seek counsel for your problems before they cause you to do something even more silly.

As a diehard SOUTERNITE...I've sat on both sides. Prefer the Westside.

Pete's job was basically gone

Dude you have no clue at all...Pete's job was and is very much secure...

How many coaches have been through the coaching carousel since 1993...the arrival of DEAN PETE???

Btw...pv is on coach #5 since 93, right???

smalltime....

:shame:

I have been on the west side for 21 years.I love it and have never miss a home game.I have not seen a fight, plus i have never had a drink.I invite anyone to sit by me.7west

These folk are coming down with hopes of kicking azz. Let's not be deceived into thinking that the $50K payday is the reason behind this. It ain't about money but seeking exposure. I have no problem with that... But they apparently like their chances against SU. I'm sure Pete isn't underestimating these folk like the posters are doing.

From the Jags perspective, it's a chance to have another home game that will get some media exposure. Stepping out and playing the non-traditional opponent does allow for exposure in regions that you might not normally have. Who knows, there might be some descendant of Sitting Bull out there in South Dakota who could "pass" enuff to be a dancing doll (Sorry, couldn't resist). But on the real, it is an interesting matchup that has possibilities to expand into other games in basketball, track & field events, baseball and student exchange arrangements.

If yall have any "good bruhs" on the team or fanbase, let me know. The Ques are always happy to meet a FRIEND...
