It would be nice if we had a kicker that can put in the endzone. Letting them start on the 35 and 40 is too short of a field for the defense.

On the kickoff return, Memphis kicker is placing it out of the endzone most of the time.

Probably to stop some of the bleeding and to keep Memphis offense off the field.
I originally picked SU in this game but changed it at the last moment earlier in the week due to considering those self-inflicted errs vs mcn which cost SU victory - 5 TOs? Playing vs fbs means one has to be almost perfect in order to keep it competitive.
SU has a great team but... the mistakes seem to cost games and some of those mistakes are unforced. Great effort, considering. It’s easy to see why SU is one of the creams of the SWAC crop in football.

IMO, the coaching staff pulled the offensive starters too soon and they definitely need to work on punting and kicking. Special teams basically gave Memphis the game with those blocked and short kicks. IMO, our first team offense can play with anybody. The defense needs to cover the pass a little better.
