He did say he wanted to go to the league and he clearly didn't put in the work during the off-season to make that dream a reality. He'll be better off as a coach.

He's worse this year than last year ... yeah he had better receivers last year but still.
 



Like the fellow poster stated a good coach would have beat this over-rated ass team. This staff here mane, no way, no way we lose this dayum game if we have a decent coach. Odums, and his staff, like what the hell yall thinking.

I thought you were the one defending him about 4 years ago when I told you that he can't beat Hopson because of his horrific decision? Odums is blessed that he is the head coach of a program that is in the worst FCS conference.
 
Just like every year here comes the excuses of it’s the coaches fault, we really should have won and our players made mistakes that made us lose. If you have the same problem every year and don’t fix it then that’s not our problem. The better team won and no could of, would of, or should of is going to put you guys in the championship game game just like it didn’t the previous 2 times. Why can’t you guys be like the PV guys and admit defeat and come back next year. Nobody wants to hear all that complaining for 3 straight years. The best team is the team that won today.

We failed to blowout Clark Atlanta, and struggled against UAPB. I don't think anyone felt like we were invincible. Both of our records were overrated if you want to be technical. SU never looked impressive this season in my eyes, and Grambling looked impressive in certain quarters. At the end of the day, GSU was more impressive that SU in 2017, better coached, and has more fire power than the powder puffs. You need to watch the game again and count GSU's TD/1st down drops, bone headed penalties, and plenty of missed opportunities to score points compared to SU. You shoulda and coulda be blown out by halftime if not for us stalling.

He had a whole new group of YOUNG WR’s with no seniors and a new o line that had to build chemistry. He has the best arm in the SWAC and he is also the best QB in the SWAC. If you really think he isn’t that good just because of a few games this season then you don’t know football. He has proved how good he is and with what he had to work with in unproven young receivers it could have been worse. Just look at his throws and ability. No way he isn’t going to the league.

Defending him? how so, saying Hopson was the only coach in the SWAC to beat him?? That's pretty much reading the stat line was what I was doing.
 
Its No excuse. I never said GSU was not a good team.. But SU. is a lot better then what ODUM AND HIS STAFF CAN DO... EVERYONE at SU will tell you that... ODUM is a ok coach.. But any Coach with sometype of football knowledge especially in changing game plan, CAN BEAT SU

Again good game GSU. BEAT ALCORN AND THOSE AGGIES.

OK we'll see if the scouts think more like me or you come this Spring. The only person I can see with a legitimate chance in the league on this team is Martinez Carter, at least on the offensive side.

Yall 1st score was trash, we had 3 players to stuff that crap, and they whiff, the LBs were on #4 all day but kept whiff'n on the tackles. Hell when we finally got to him, we sent his ass to the locker room for a pep talk. So please stop with the brainwash stuff and talk about what happened on the field

So if they are on the same level than why has Fobbs won 3 straight if Odom’s has the same opportunity to get the same players and build his own team over that course to beat Fobbs?
