Southern Baseball team ineligible for NCAA tournament.

Most people go to college so that they can earn a degree, but there are always a few of those rogue students who think they can skate through a little easier without having to do all the work. The following list details some of those instances where students get carried away in an effort to do well without trying. From getting a degree they didn’t actually earn to changing grades to faking transcripts to cheating on exams, these cheating scandals caught plenty of attention.

  1. Southern University. This university in Louisiana was rocked by scandal in March of 2003 when it was discovered that an assistant registrar had changed grades for 541 students and had been doing so since 1995. The assistant registrar had been charging students hundreds of dollars to change their grades in about 2,500 illegal transactions. The story broke when a young woman presented herself as a graduate of the school, but the school could find no record of her earning a degree. It was later determined that several students “earned” fake Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and teaching certifications.

Aint no one lose 30 years of records. LOL. Just LaFluer incompetence during that time. There was no APR way back in the day.

Broussard stepped on some toes. Like anywhere you work. If you step on the wrong toes to someone who has power to kick you with those same toes on their feet. Then you get run. Nothing new. Seen it corporate America. You know how it goes. Broussard had the right ideas. But you still have a political mine field to navigate.

Now it aint no excuse for this last thing with the SU baseball team. Folks head need to roll even if that means Cador himself. But man, the NCAA did say yall had been cheating all the way back to the 90s. Just saying.

Now C-Leb if you really believe SU was the number 1 cheating scandal of all time with colleges, then I got swamp land to sell you. Even with that scandal, there have been WAY worse scandals at colleges.

Even though I was against the NCAA stepping in to punish Penn State over Sandusky crimes because that was CRIMINAL activity instead of sports violations. That scandal to me has to be worse. It went beyond sports. Hell all of State College knew about that pedophile. Probably covered up for bigger name pedophiles. So whomever wrote that article needs to do more research. I guess we did top that Duke scandal at number 2.

And I see they mixed in some athletic scandals too including Clem Haskins. Well they should have included SMU. The worst of all times. LOL.

Anyway, I need to call Rick Pitino to see how you avoid getting sanctioned by the NCAA with all his dirty shenanigans at Louisville.

But sujag79, truth be told, you have to get tired yourself seeing your school commit NCAA infraction after NCAA infraction. From basketball to football to baseball to track to, etc.... This is getting old. Every freaking year, your school comes through like a champ to prove why the rest of the sports world view us all as fumbling, dumb, imbeciles in this conference when it's only about 2-3 of the schools who actually fits that bill. With your school running neck in neck with BAMA St and Valley. This is getting sadder and sadder and it's already worser than anything in the pass.

You got an entire makeshift bootleg athletic Dept on your campus but you worried about how schools are handling their increase in enrollment. TOO FUNNY!

Yes, without a doubt Penn State was the worse scandal. I still cringe when I see them on TV for any sport.

Just because SU was mentioned first doesn't mean the school is No. 1 on that list, especially when the list even isn't numbered.

And this was published in 2010. There have been more scandals since then. Like the shit that has gone down at UNC for example.

But folks don't use a lot a nuance here.

Basketball coach is acting AD because the previous AD was reassigned.

The AD before him got busted in a prostitution sting.

NCAA said the documents submitted was UNUSABLE and all programs was repremanded. No other NCAA program has ever been told your data was unusable and told to resubmit.

Legendary football coach admitted that someone "came down their throats".

Now, the legendary head baseball coach didn't know he was over dosed his scholarship allotment for how many years?

What else did I miss?

That is what cheaters do. They don't leave a paper trail. I think West Indian Archie said it best..."If the man has no paper he'll never have no proof".

We gave the NCAA what they asked for. Our record keeping was a mess (except for the JCole regime). We can admit our mistakes and move on. Some folk will try and tell you piss is rain and get upset if you don't drink.

It was about SU's baseball team, but that didn't stop you folks from bringing up stuff that had nothing to do with our baseball team or athletics. No one has deflected anything. All Southern people have said that it's unacceptable and changes need to be made.
