Southern shocks LSU

Jaguars top Tigers for second win in 41 tries

By the time LSU found a pitcher who could keep Southern from scoring Tuesday night, the Jaguars had the lead to stay, well on their way to a 9-5 victory in Alex Box Stadium.
Former All-American pitcher Ben McDonald, who skipped his senior season at LSU to play for the Baltimore Orioles, was in the house calling the game on Cox Sports Television, but his eligibility expired more than a decade ago.

No one else was the answer.

Don't expect to see any replays!

You're probably right. They might just take us off the schedule next year, they don't much appreciate any loss to an in-state school. Especially not us. :p

Way to go JAGUARS!! :jump:

Great WIN Fellow Jags :hat:
ALthough this is a rebuilding year,
Coach Cador always coaches like a championship Coach..........
all of the chips have fallin into place for this team...........

Good win Jags! Skip has always played Cador's crew; I would not expect the SU-LSU games to end. Besides LSU is 39 and 2 against the Jags.

Baseball is one of the rare sports where all you really need is a dominant pitcher. Pitching can always mask poor defense. In prior games, this was SU's achilles heel.

I have watched LSU a couple times this year, and Smoke Laval is not getting half the talent Skip got. Todd Walker, Hymel, Mouton , etc. were lights out when LSU got to Omaha.

If SU is fortunate to play the Ramblin Wreck post regionals do not expect another 1993 upset. ;)
