Southern band audit reports $17K in bogus bills

its just 17K and he is paying it back so whats the fuss?...SU is not closing down or losing its accredidation behind this...and trust me other band directors have been under fire for the same things but they are not Doc Greggs so its not put under a microscope!! when you are on top expect people to be diggin dirt on you left and right..Doc is use to this and will get through this and go out in style!

Actually when this is all said and done the Jukebox is going to be a nightmare for the rest of the SWAC tenfold. Just wait till you get a load of the 06 version. The young Jukes have warned yall for years what would happen if Doc retired. Now you will get an more aggressive and larger Jukebox on yall's arse. Stay tuned.

Back to the topic
Everyone read closely what the published reports really say. All they do for me is confirm what I already thought happened and who actually was in on the deeds. But of course I am sure they were operating under direct orders to do so. Oh well. There are alot of guilty parties I can see from the report. Like somebody else posted. Doc's perception of guilt has already been formed no matter what. I guess it aint no different than finding out Jesse Jackson had a baby out of wedlock. All our ICONs have their misgivings. But the great thing about them is that have done more good for people than they have done bad. That is my parting shot and I along with the many Jukebox Alums will send Doc out in grand style. The way it is going to go down, I promise you it will be one for the ages. :D

This is crazy to let him get one last season. What they think people are going to forget and make it look like he's retiring. I'll remind you next year. Or he knows something about chancellor. :goof:

Dude, the GSU band has been sced of SU since day one. You know it and the every year the NBC audience knows it.

Why is it crazy? I am willing to bet that even the Gov herself wants Doc to go out in style. Kinda of reminds of somebody else people wanted out doesn't it.

BTW, what was crazy was how the GSU faithful treated an even bigger ICON in Eddie during his farewell tour. Heck folks didn't even want Rob to have a tour until Gov. Foster stepped in :emlaugh:

Now if you decide to remind us of anything, I certainly will remind you of that tidbit. Something on the SWACPAGE that nobody has forgotten. :nod2:

When i marched for GSU 90,91 and 92 i know we didn't fear SU or any other band because we were on our shat year round so i don't know who you are talking about. I can only speak for the years i marched because i'm not at many games because of a demanding work schedule. No one isn't scared of SU. The Jukebox isn't aggressive like they once were, The Sonic Boom has become the most aggressive band in HBCU bands and still they aren't feared, so don't think people are scared of SU, bands might respect SU because of the consistency, but fear hell 2 the naw.
 
So, now Mach needs to get a life because he posted the audit report that factually details what went down??? Face it. Doc Greggs took some liberties and got caught. At least he's smart enough to retain an attorney.

I asked on that other thread about "sweeping around that big pink elephant in the living room." Just too much praise and not enough questioning. Great men falter.

So, please save all the "they hate us so much they be looking to find stuff to post about us" bit. If it were someone else at another school, y'all would be doing the same.

Amen!

SU posters (for the most part) don't believe an SU alum, or their beloved band director can't do anything wrong (at least outside their private forum). Just replace Southern with any other SWAC school and Southern posters will be here posting like everyone else is. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HATRED OR BEING SCARED OF SOUTHERN!!!

What a person typically does is immediately get defensive and the rest is history. Just say "I know Doc Greggs and I know him as a great man that did great things for SU" and leave it alone.

Has anyone noticed that regardless of the school that if something groundbreaking as this surfaces that if the school posters in question would just sit back and let nature take its course, there won't be repetitive threads on whatever issue it is!

Man STFU nobody from SU on here would care if this happened at another school. We simply don't GAF. When the grade scandal happened at TxSU did anyone care?? hell no!! When gsu got audited recently did anyone care?? hell no!! You need to open your eyes an see all of the hate going on. It's as obvious as the nose job on Michael Jackson. And yes the SWAC is SCARED. Don't stay in denial all of your lives.

No, dear---- No one is scared of SU... not even for this upcoming season. What's true is that many are looking forward to seeing will be new or different about SU... but definitely NOT scared.
Let's not run with those thoughts, OK?! :lol:
