Differing opinions and differing perspectives. If you have a problem with top 40 team games then have a problem with them all the time and anywhere. If you don't have a problem with us playing top 40 teams then don't have a problem with them any time or anywhere. That includes facing them in football, basketball, baseball ... bowling.
We know we have a wayto go to catch up and the MLK games would be tokens. But if you could get Southern Miss to play Jackson St at Memorial (football) or LSU to play in the Clark Center and Memphis to visit the next week, those are winning situations. We could get more national notoriety than Marshall or UTSan Antonio. There have been PWI games on our campuses before as others mentioned. Hell Alabama State had Alabama scheduled this year in softball at home.
When that kind of Marketing is established we garner more affluent recruits and respect. Remember in order to grow usually there are growing pains.
