Mofo's are duct taping instruments together at SU and he want to call people country.

I wonder if they'll be able to pay Dr. Jackson his full salary this year or will they have to give him an I.O.U. after Jindal make more cuts.:smh:

Give a few years they wont even have a band....Keep Talking while Jindal reduces funds....Black Folks always worried about somebody else! :smh:

That will never happen. Don't let Jagcat upset yall so much with his comments to retaliate with statements that is not true. LOL.

Jindal don't affect the Jukebox. LOL. Seriously. Jukebox alums have taken matters into our own hands. The Juke is fine.

Frat, I know you don't buy that crap. LOL. You don't see that at the games. Practice instruments send help. The Juke has never looked raggedy in public.

Plus the students voted to add a $5 increase in their tuition just for the Jukebox. I don't know where they get that broke stuff from. The Jukebox went to more away games than the boom :) .

All of your away games were in the state of LA except for Texas Southern the other games that are classic's meaning they pay for the band to come. WE ARE NOT STUPID BRUH

You sure about that? The only game the Boom missed was AAMU. I don't recall the Jukebox going to Bama State.

Man please.

Just 2 short years ago, you mofos was begging for money. Only went to 2 of 6 away game and had to do festivals and fundraisers to get to P. View and Alcorn. And then LAST YEAR, ya'll all up on Youtube crying about being broke with band members holding ragged azz horns up for the camera to see. DE-NILE must be a top major on the banks of the Mississippi.

Here is the link just in case your amnesia comes back.

SU marching band struggles to attend away games..........Sept. 30, 2010

The Human Jukebox is trying to pay its own way to the Prairie View and Alcorn State games by performing at marching festivals around the state. The band has also started an alumni fundraising campaign.

Each away game costs between $10,000 to $20,000 for the band to travel
.

Frat.
I just love cracking your JUKEBOX brotherin faces when they light into a JSU Boom thread without thinking about all the BS that has gone on down in Scottieville.

That's because they took money out of the athletic budget that used to fund the band. The Juke got took care of. Sometimes you have to shock the masses. It wasn't as bad as the Advocate made it to be. LOL. Politics 101. Most SWAC bands have to foot their own bill anyway for years. SU was one of the few that had our travel already budgeted within athletics. Casem started doing that in 86 so the band could go to every away game. Before then, Doc knew how to get funding for the Juke. Crowley just did what he had to to raise awareness of what was going on. And we went to more than 2 away games frat. SU aint never missed that many travel games. 2 short years ago, most of the games were at home. LOL. Where did you get that we missed 4 out of 6 away games? The PV game got moved to Shreveport in 2010. Don't remember if they went to Shreveport or not. The band came to Jackson. I know they didn't go to Huntsville which was a first. We usually don't allow our schedule to have 6 away games and if that happens it is because we have agreed to some classic which pays for the band to travel.

Seriously Frat. Nobody in the SWAC can question the Jukebox on travel. Nobody. None of yall are even close to the small amount of games SU has missed over the last 30 years. Sure money got cut out from the budget. But even so, the Juke still made trips and continue to do so. I usually stay out of the band arguments on other stuff. But one drawing factor to Jukebox has always been that they will travel even when schools don't come to BR. Ask PV and some others. LOL.

The only trips SU missed was Pine Bluff andMontgomery last season and Huntsville and Valley the year before. Before that the Jukebox went to every game.

Since 1982 when I got to JSU, how many games besides the trip to P. View every second year has JSU missed from regular games to classics?

MAYBE Bamma A@M in recent years. The only reason this got started was because as usual, the same poster came in talking trash when his eyes watered up from seeing JSU/SONIC BOOM on a thread title.

And then he had the nerve to call somebody country after the hood rich clown show I see everytime SU come to Jackson. He too crazy to understand the money behind that parade and the Fonderon district where JSU play their games.

Frat, come on now. It was sometimes yall didn't even go to Grambling in the 80s. Ron and I talked all the time about that. Taylor would choose SU over Gram when those games used to be back to back on the road games. Not only that. When I lived in Houston all those years in the 90s. It was several times yall didn't go to play TxSU either. Can't say about the rest. But it has never been no secret that SU was the only SWAC band to routinely make every away game every year until recently. Taylor used comment on that all the time. You know no other band director had the political pull like the black man. He had the red phone directly to the Gov. of LA. LOL.

They missed Gram 1 time in the 1980's and that had to be after 1986. Same with Texas Southern because we never missed a trip to tear that downtown hotel up in Houston. One time they had a concert in that arena out there. When we got to the hotel after the game, the elevator door opened and Frankie Beverly was inside. We hit the floor back then when we saw and talked to him.

When I was in the band, the ONLY game we missed was the P. View game when it was in Texas. It rained on us twice down there in Gram and one time, when I was working J-Sette security after my marching days and wanted free trips and tickets, we body slammed the Gram mascot on the 40 yard line in the middle of a show because he would not get off the field when Wavey Dave was doing his thing. Then ran his azz up into the Gram student section.
