Forget Cosby .. Here is a discussion on some Solutions For Black America ( from BV site). Which viewpoint do you think is more correct?
1st viewpoint .....
1) Don't make children you can't take care of mentally, spiritually, physically, and financially.
2) Respect yourself, respect your family, respect your community, respect authority.
3) Treat others as you would like to be treated.
4) Whether you're a scientist or a mechanic, education is key.
5) People who commit crimes and live reprobate lifestyles are not commendable and should be shunned and shamed by mainstream society.
6) If you fall, dust yourself off and try again.
7) Reach back to help others less fortunate.
8) Be involved in the welfare of your community.
9) Be a wise steward over your resources.
10) You have un-protected sex, you have a chance of getting an STD or an unwanted pregnancy.
11) You break the law, you go to jail
12) You are not married, and have an OOW child, chances are the father want be there, because there is no committment, so you have to live with this choice.
13) If you don't get your education or a trade, then there is some huge odds, that say you will get caught up in the judicial system, because you have no job skills.
14) If you don't have a foundation for your family, before starting one, then chances are it will fall apart, because all houses need a foundation.

You really believe that black people are SO f ked up that we don't agree with those things?
Reality is that how life is lived has very little to do with rah rah speeches, or feel good sayings. Reality is that CERTAIN social conditions make CERTAIN bad behavior MUCH more likely.
You and people who think like are under the false belief that who PEOPLE turn out to be has VERY little to do with the society that they live in. I mean do YOU REALLY believe that black people's problems are the result of low moral character? Do you REALLY believe that the HUGE social and cultural advantages that whites have is the result of their MORALITY/good decision making? Do you believe that white, latinos, asians, follow your list of solutions and that black people don't and that EXPLAINS the gross disparities in this country?
Seventy percent of whites don't have college degrees, are they valuing education?
White folks get divorced at HIGH RATES have high rates of drug, alcohol abuse, have a culture based on f king other people over. In fact, for your list the MOST SUCCESSFUL group(white people) do VERY LITTLE of ANY of the list. So WHY aren't they suffering the SAME problems as we are?
The ANSWER is obvious. I suggest that if your serious about black people better our lives than LOOK at the things that actually hinder the majority of our lives.
All your doing is ATTACKING the humanity of black people because even you yourself wrote that "animals can look at their environment and learn what to do and what not to do, but YET black people UNLIKE all other human beings for some "reason" just can't get it together.
Just answer this question. Why can't black people get it together? I mean there is nothing stopping us. Why can't bw stop having oow children? I mean there is nothing making them have childen. Why don't black people have more wealth, more degrees, more everything? Again there is nothing stopping us. So what is "WRONG" with us?
