Ya'll should have been banned... you all could have still won the reg season title tho. But the conference should ban APR penalized bball teams since the champ goes into the NCAA post-season.

If they are serious, they should ban all teams under 900. You can't ban a team with a 899 but let a team with a 815 slide. How is that right? ..especially when the SWAC is implementing self imposed bans.

I don't know how some of yall sleep at night with the leadership that's in place at your respective universities. You had folks with PhD's representing your school, and voting to ban a team for an APR score that was better than your school's, or not too much better. Any leader with an ounce of perceptual skills would say, "Hey, that could be us later on down the road. This is a slippery slope, here.". Total stupidity. I see why some people have the perception they have of HBCU's.

And let's not act like it was a move to show the NCAA they are serious about academics. Because looking at these scores, it's obvious they aren't. You had 8 crabs in a barrel who wanted to get a competitive advantage.

Sorry bruh, but our numbers are moving in the right.direction. That crab mentality don't fit over here. All that monkey business that has been going on in the Gump has finally caught up with you all. I'm surprised that the Governor didn't stepped in a long time ago. I know he was threatening to do so at one time. Maybe he should have.

So you're saying that everyone should have gone against the NCAA post season ban (games played after the regular schedule season ends) and let teams participate in these post season events?
 



hell.................It was US JSU years ago and the entire freaking SWAC voted to ban us so nobody need to tell the JSU people shat. Its 2013 and now people on here bellyaching because the "That could be us down the road" is finally here now and want to gain some since all of a sudden?

Damm that.
Every team that is eligible for a ban need to be banned. Don't change the rule mofo's made now that it is their azzes on the line. JSU bit the ban bullet, did what we had to do to come back and now all these other jackleg schools on the ban chopping block now need to do the same and stop all this crying. :smh:

Ya'll can be so slow. First of all, I think most of us agree that we should ban teams from the sports with tournaments that send a champ into the NCAA post season from which they are banned. The SCG is not such a game because the winner of that conference sanctioned post-season tournament does not go into the NCAA post season.

However, our other point is that if you are going to ban teams for a 899 APR, you also need to ban teams with lower ones. When JSU and SU got banned in football, our APR was better than PV, TxSo and Grambling. If the COPs wanted to make a statement, all 5 teams should have been banned. The NCAA didn't ban ANYONE from the SCG so that was the COPs chance to be seen as putting their foot down. Following an NCAA mandate for a game that does not even apply to said penalty made no sense.
