So Trey White is with J-State now huh?

I was sure that someone said that if you was to start at Gram as a freshman and to beat out alot of other starters, then you must really be good . I do believe that subject came up on the topic of the 38 recruits and will they see any playing time this season. Do you recall that Mr. Biggs, Suge, GSUper, somebody??

So if he is better than Counslor....yall really in trouble.

I dont see it now. He is not as explosive as TCounselor, and he does not give out punishment like TC. He is good, and he looks fast, but right now he aint on TCs level. Just my opinion.

White or no White...

We kickin' yall's azz this year. We're only averaging 50 points per game our last three visits to Carson/Robinson Stadium. Do you honestly think you'll hold us under 5 TDs this year? Do you honestly think that sad azz offense of yours will score more than three?

Think about it Gram. With the supposed "best team in the history of Grambling", you struggled to take advantage of 8 turnovers against a team that was supposedly in decay.

"Best team in Gram history." :smh: This was probably the biggest insult you clowns could ever hit Eddie Robinson with.

Man, I don't know why Grampax is making all this fuss about Trey White transferring to JSU....they did'nt complain when They White transferred to Southern.:D :D :D

I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE WEEK OF THE GAME. THAT IS WHEN IT WILL GET UGLY .TREY WILL SURELY TELL ALL IN THE PAPERS ABOUT THE REAL REASON HE TRANSFERED.I THINK HE GOT WHAT A-LOT OF GOOD BLACK ATHLETES GET WHEN THEY TRY TO PLEASE BLACK FOLKS. HE GOT SCREWED.HE PASSED UP OFFERS TO MIAMI ,TENNESEE, AND BIGGER SCHOOLS FOR WHICH OTHERS ON THIS BOARD PRAISED AND LOVED. I TOO DID THE SAME.BUT WHY GO TO HBCU TO RIDE THE PINE WHEN YOUR OBVIOUSLY BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE.THAT LINE WAS HORRIFIC IN 1999. I SAW IT WITH MY OWN EYES.I LOVE GRAM TO DEATH BUT TRUTH SHOULD BE TOLD.HILL HAS THE LUXURY OF RUNNING BEHIND A SOLID LINE COACHED BY SOMEONE ELSE.TREY DID NOT WANT TO PLAY RB ANYWAY HE WANTED TO PLAY REC. HE SHOULD HAVE PLAYED IT ANYWAY.I WISH HIM THE BEST CAUSE HE HAS A-LOT OF TALENT.GRAM LOST A GOOD ONE.HE WAS SUPPOSEDLY HURT; HE HEALED UP BUT NEVER SAW TIME AGAIN .WHY IS THAT. I HEARD FOLK TALKING SAYING HE DID OR SAID SOMETHING TO DOUG THAT DOUG DID NOT LIKE.IM ASSUMING ABOUT THE BLOCKING HE WAS NOT RECEIVING.I SEE WHY BLACK ATHELTES GO TO BIG SCHOOLS AND RIDE THE BENCH FOR FOUR YEARS SOMETIMES, AND STILL MAKE IN THE LEAGUE.GOING TO A HBCU YOU HAVE TO PUT UP WITH AN EGO MONSTER AS YOUR COACH SOMETIMES, PLAYING YOUR ASS OFF ONLY TO PRAY AT GETTING A SHOT IN THE LEAGUE SOMEDAY.I WANT ALL BLACK ATHELETES TO SUPPORT THEIR BACK SCHOOLS BUT AT WHAT COST.I JUST HOPES HE GETS A CHANCE TO SHINE OVERTHERE LIKE HE SHOULD HAVE AT GRAM.EXCEPT FOR WHEN THEY PLAY GRAM AT HOME. I WONDER IF FANS WILL SHOW THIER PHILADELPHIAN SPIRIT AND BOO HIM WHEN HE TOUCHES OR CATCHES A PASS.

Oh Yeah! He will shine. Shine right through the entire SWAC. With him and Counselor holding that pig, the SWAC is about to encounter another era from the Payton days.

You know they will. I wouldnt cheer for someone after they run over my defense and scores a TD either.

XTC has effectively told the rest of your GramCrackers's to STFU.

:lmao:

All of you better start saying your prayers like Bornthrilla and Mighty Hornet. That is the only way they beat JSU last year.... on a prayer. Our offensive line coach will be on our hit list if this line does not block well this season. He will have no excuse with all the size and talent we have there--not to mention the depth...we should have a second string that is just as competent as our first. He will have no excuse for a sad line but you all will have no hope if this line is good. No Chance.

Man, your Greatness privileges should be revoked.

...........Yeah, like last year when you were averaging 40 pts. per game and got your butt totally embarrassed with those six(6) interceptions, two(2) fumbles and sixteen(16) pts. Running game could only muster 67 yards(Counselor:D ). Even had the nerve to try and "steal" it with help from the "refs"(G-MEN/ 114 yds. penalties, Buffalo/ 27 yds. penalties). Don't get on this board trying to convince the "ICON" what ya'll got. Who gives a d**n. I done told you before, you got several games you need to worry about before you meet "GREATNESS".

..........Take care of them first then maybe I'll give you some "air" time:D

All you Buffalo "butts" just check out my Thread>>>>Current SWAC Coaches....What Have You Done For Me...Lately? Maybe you will have a comment about that!!!!!

Dont worry about him getting boo'd at Grambling. Thats JSUs home stadium, and we will outnumber Gram anyway. The cheers will swallow the boo's.

I admire someone that doesnt mind telling truth. A few yuears ago, all the Gram folks were on this board talking about Trey this and Trey that....now all of a sudden he is garbage even though he is bigger faster and stronger now.

Its just too bad there is only one ball on the field at a time.

Who is Trey White?

Is he trying to find a weak program that he may be able to get some playing time? I am confoosed about what you all are posting about Trey. If weak GSu or SU would not take him, maybe he should have gone to the Korn.

lol@MD. *Open Door*

*Black walks away lol and thinkin too easy.*

Trey didn't start his Freshman year until the end of the season. The starter for most of the year was Walter Williams who was subsequently moved to wide receiver to give another threat alongside Scotty Anderson.

I remember Trey starting in the Bayou Classic his freshman year, but I'm not sure if he started more than one game other than that. At the time, Brad Hill was not eligible so it's no sense in comparing them as far as freshmen recruits coming in.

STC: Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I don't agree with yours! Just becuz Trey was highly recruited out of Ouachita High doesn't mean he should be guaranteed a starting spot. Just like Evangel, West Monroe, and some of the other high school football factories, the players tend to be a bit overrated and just don't pan out. I won't criticize Trey because his father is an acquaintance of mind (and a really nice guy), so let's just say he didn't get what was expected and decided to leave. As for playing wide receiver, you must understand that we were very deep at the receiver spot. At that time, Levi Washington and Ellis Spears were also waiting in the wings to emerge as wide receivers. The difference is they were willing to wait!

Mike...do you think that Trey would've actually gotten a chance to play receiver if he "waited", as you say? Or do you think that waiting would just simply assure an opportunity for him to be in the backfield on the regular?

MB, are you saying that Trey is a good kid, but need to become more vocal or display a football thug personality on the field.

No, I'm saying Trey is a talented kid who had a lot of self-imposed pressure to produce. There was a lot of hype surrounding Trey, based on his name, his ability, and the high school team that he played on. Ouachita High has had a lot of star players who for some reason didn't quite live up to their billing. Larry Wright, Jr who played his last year at West Monroe High, signed with Notre Dame transferred to GSU then transferred to La Tech and switch from rb to defensive back. Jamie Spencer (fb) who signed with Notre Dame as a can't miss All-American but was a part-time starter, "??" Brown (rb) who was a La. Blue Chip rb that signed with SU but never contributed, and now Trey White. No knock on the athletes from Ouachita High because they are good high school players. However, none have really emerged on the collegiate scene (Sorry Suge) the way many "experts" projected.

I think Trey got frustrated with things and a rift developed between him and his teammates. Folk tend to make Doug out to be the villian, but the chemistry of the team was suffering because of incidents between Trey and teammates. Sometimes guys tend to get tired of a player and mother talking about how he did them a favor coming to play with them. Trust me, you can be sure that the folk at La Tech gave him a work out and watched him in "drills" against other Tech players. Bottom line, he was not in the same league with John Simon out of Southern Lab who played at Tech after being overlooked by most SWAC schools as being too small. If he had a future at wide receiver, then Tech surely could have used him in the multiple 5 receiver sets that they run (especially after losing 4 of it's top 5 receivers the year before).

But that's enuff...I just say Good Luck Trey (playing for Jock Washer, you will need it):D

Hmm, I don't know if that helps or not. Next time you see Brandon Reed maybe you can ask him!:lmao:

BR, is a nice kid, Dad is a top administrator in Education and so is MoM. In talking to BR, he is sounds like the perfect student.

But the main thing JSU will take care of him and give him the right tools to make it in the NFL.

You should have let him in yall neighborhood bar.
