I don't have a dog in this fight, but usatoday, nobody from the SU side even denied that the chapter is inactive. They have repeatedly said that it is not due to hazing. I think you are trying to split hairs with them to prove your point.

This is truly sad news!! Not only was this an unfortunate event with the hazing, but several lives have potentially been ruined. I heard on the news last night, they could possibly get 5yrs to 25yrs in jail. The world doesn't need another young black male, with all the potential in the world, to be behind bars.

I'm sure there's activities on Grambling's campus that's illegal, like the recent school shooting. I guess everyone at Grambling love brushing sh!t under the rug and thinking nonchalant. I guess that's why shootings occur at Grambling.

The school shooting wasn't pushed under the rug either! It was on tv and the newspaper! Those kids involved in that bs were kicked out of school and two of them didn't even attend Grambling! The University has made the necessary changes to try to prevent that from happening but it's not promised because many come to GSU for Springfest from other Universities, as long as no one got hurt that's the most important thing! GSU handled their bizz, we don't think our shat don't stink like SU peeps do and overlook things! GSU takes immediate action because Grambling hates negative press but SU's band is always in negative press about hazing or fighting or something! One shooting with nobody hurt on GSU's campus WOW, doesn't happen consistently vs constant hazing allegations towards SU's Band putting two peeps in intensive care, there is no comparison so stop reaching! Your'e mad at the wrong peeps bruh! Now i'm finshed good day peeps! Lunch Time!
 
First, I hope all of the students injured make a full recovery. I wish nothing but the best for them.

Now with that said, for this situation to improve, EVERYONE needs to punished. They all signed the agreement and knew what was up. The 6 that did the beating need to go to jail. Period. But the others that allowed themselves to be beat AFTER signing the anti hazing agreement should also be punished. They are wrong also, they are not innocent victims. If you let someone hit you with a 2x4 just 1 time and don't respond you are a participant, not a victim. IMHO, their parents should not be able to sue the school for nothing. Their children made a choice. If it happened on campus or under the knowledge or direction of a school official, that would be different. But this was something they chose to do.

There's a big differance in being Inactive and being Suspended, ZN's chapter is just inactive.

Now since you doing so much research on them, go back to the site and it'll show what chapters are Suspended and ZN is not one of them.

In a sense, I agree with you. Especially the part in bold. Unless they were intimidated into doing this, which seems unlikely, they were willing participants in something that they signed a document saying they would not be a part of that they knew was against the law. I pray that they make full recoveries. IMO, I think the school and band staff took the appropriate measures on the front end, and should not be liable for the injuries, especially given that they occurred off campus without the knowledge of campus officials or band staff.

As a band director, it troubles me to see how far we go to educate students on the seriousness of these activities and the far reaching consequences, only to have them do it anyway. It also troubles me to know that in some form or fashion, the band director can still be held accountable for the obvious blatant disregard of rules that were set forth.

People love to see you fall when you are on top. The haters will always be there... I never imagined anyone would do something this cruel in all my years associated with the band. We should focus on the recovery of these two young men, then deal with the disease that has crippled our great organization. Let the haters hate but let us concentrate on the immediate. One love.
