Silver Dollar Classic In Trouble?

Is the Silver Dollar Classic between Grambling and Tenn. State in trouble? Someone from the two schools had better step up and set the record straight quickly. According to www.meacfans.com posters are saying the contract has not been signed, sponsers are pulling out, the promoters are shakey, and the game might be moved. What the L is going on? Can someone give us some valid information?

From what I read in the paper back home about 2 weeks ago, GSU had signed the contract along with TNST. From what the paper said the game was on. News-Star I think.

GSU 4 LIFE

I'll just say this, and it's not to say that all is completely lined up and ready to go, but the official website of the Silver Dollar Classic has been updated to reflect sponsors, the headquarters hotel for GSU, the headquarters hotel for TSU, the headquarters hotel for TSU alumni, they have t-shirts and baseball caps that you can buy online, there's an official travel agency that has devised two travel packages that you can select from if you want to do a package deal, and there's a link to tickets.com which is the official site selling tickets for the event. When I checked this site about a month ago hardly any of that information was available. So, it looks like things are falling into place, that is if you judge it by this site.

Things are looking up

We, too, have heard that the promoters have just signed a multiyear deal with a company to help promote the Classic.

There is also a tie-in with Ford Motor Company as a sponsor in conjunction with their Expedition Ultimate Road Trip Promotion.

So it looks like things are falling into place.

Good news here. I wonder why it took so long to sign a contract? You just don't advertise nor promote a game unless both schools have come to an agreement and sign first. But if true bring on the
TIGERS IN "SIN CITY."
