SIAC/ESPNU Deal - Turkey Day Classic to be Televised

RE Fiyah post: This has nothing to do with that......

At this time the Bama's are scheduled to be on 77% of of the 9 games that are scheduled. All of the Swac schools are on at least once except one of the schools from Ms. I don't think this is going to go well with most of the schools but no one is going to challange the commish about it.

What a sad post. That was unnecessary and your "post points" (like tbf) oft times get lost in the language and delivery you use.

Actually he has been challenged on it....but it doesn't change anything.

Your opinion rates real high in my book, JROCK. Coming from such a paragon of virtue such as yourself (and NT), I am simply covered in shame.

Dayum

It was brought up that the major cable providers in that area don't even have ESPNU.... so they are tryin to get it on a local channel as well as the ESPNU audience.

ESPNU has no market in Houston unless you got Direct TV........with Time Warner being the biggest cable provider, I expect something to change...it took us a year to ge MBC

And we still don't get TV One

from listening to the TV One ads...they can have it.....everything sounds like recycled shows....I don't want to see ANOTHER damn poker show and for sure, another cooking show

They have some excellent "one on one interviews." Also I love their "throw back" theatre. It is a decent station. Cathy Hughes is a bad sister.

Somebody post the schedule so the rest of the folk can see it, and the Bamas can beat their chests. From what I've seen, I doubt if the network picked all the games. One matchup I know had to be forced on ESPNU.

But it is a Bama heavy schedule. Ole mighty hornet can do many of his "random thoughts" from his living room, now.

I blame JSU for this!
Why you blaming JSU??? It ain't like they beat us in the SCG. Hmmm!!!

This is on SU, dude. It's that "S" on y'alls chest that got us in this mess. :lmao:

LMAO!
Don't hate, don't be jealous, and don't act surprised.
For years now, MD has told yall about the impending Bama takeover. It's in full swing now. Just sit back, grin, and bear it as well as you can.

btw, for you diehard subscribers of "Random Thoughts", please rest assured that any and all ASU telecasts will have little effect on your cherished editions of "Random Thoughts". I will still get to as many games as possible, in my effort to uplift you with thought provoking and awe inspiring insights.

Yall are welcome.

They should not have been there in the first place. The last 5 years yall have going to the SWAC East Bank with that "We are Jackson State University," check and the bama's been marking that ish NSF.

I will be subscribing to Direct Tv next month to get ESPNU. So that I will not miss not one Black College Football Game. Looks like they are going to put some good match ups on the air. To make sure that you do not miss the games, subscribe to Direct Tv. They have a special going on now. $29.95/mo for three months. So switch now so that you guys will not miss any of the games.

I can't wait to see the Turkey Classic this year. I will be watching and recording the game.

Well, I for one am glad that our games are not switched to Thursday Nites, given the Saturday game day atmosphere and how we already pack our staduim and follow our team, I am fine with it. For some of you other schools, THurday or Sat doesnt make a difference, a 3/4 empty staduim is what it is. And maybe it's me, but ESPNU, please, that's gotta be channel 234 or something on most systems. How many people are really gonna be watching it, esp. with D1A games on ESPN and ESPN2.

Will, you might as well wait until the fall bruh. That $29.95 only brings you into September right as the season is starting. The real bargains come around mid-August, early September, when Direct TV starts pushing the Sunday NFL Ticket.

You'll get the same 3 months for $29.95, and that'll take you through the season. Every year around that time, they start heavy adverstising knowing that they have the NFL on lock. I don't know if the packages are in conjunction with getting the SNT, but they do put the offers out there.

NICE

I am getting Direct Tv towards the end of July. The special is for three months. I can't wait to see the Turkey Day Classic and other SWAC/MEAC/SIAC Games on ESPNU.

Great for Bama State. However, I would like to see some of the other schools of interest get some good exposure. Bama State will go first.

Maybe this is irrelavent, but this doesn't look like a takeover to me.
