Props to you guys... good job this season, especially how you guys have turned things around and helped us establsh a run game. Our young qb's have been allowed to grow up and mature due to your protection on pass plays and ESPECIALLY because your run blocking and Dawrence Roberts has put us in position to have different back to back 1000 yard rushers

You guys tend to get overlooked, but ol MB has noticed and appreciate your good work. I'm sure some of those scouts coming to practice has taken notice...hope some of you guys get a shot at the next level. Thanks for keeping the Grambling tradition of running the ball going... Reminds me of those poundings that Coach Melvin Lee's units put on folk back in the day and how we ran the ball the past 4 years. Good to see the ground game STILL a huge part of Grambling football.

Oh...Kudos to Coach Williams for recognizing the offensive strengths of the team. I see why you win!

Bennie Peoples and Aaron Jackson split time at left tackle. They are our only seniors that play. Quinton Roberts is the only other senior on that list and, to be honest, I haven't even seen him dressed out in a while now. Ashton Green is a redshirt junior and was redshirted just like Julian Wyndon and Sanford Banks were when they signed in 2008.

Yeah, Roberts allowed himself to get too large (what I was told). That 2008 class was a good class for us... the emphasis was on offensive linemen. We had low numbers along the OLINE and those that were there in 2007 were trained to be pass blockers. As you and I both know, the emphasis by the former staff when they came in was on linemen. It's paid off in the run game the past two season.
