No because look at the progression GSU has made recently in athletics. Moreover, we finally have a president that will be here for a while and invested in the community. Much of our problems came from a republican governor who truly hated GSU and SU. Hence his appointments and recommendations to the University of Louisiana Board further hindered GSU because of the instability of presidents.

If our current president stays here for 10 to 15 years which at age 50 he can do....we will be ok.

I actually blame the Louisiana public education system who created that 'Jindal Monster' who came back and tried to destroy Louisiana public education. The 'Frankenstein Monster' is definitely not unique.

I also blame LSU for allowing his immigrant parents to live in one of their housing units until he was born as an anchor baby. Him and his family are a prime example of foreigners coming to the United States and taking full advantage of the country's support system and later turning around and destroying it so that others wouldn't have the same advantages they had.

I know this is the sports section,,one of the biggest problems with higher education in Louisiana is there are too many checks and balances meaning boards.. I understand the SU system but why does the state need another board over them.. And tuition and fees limits. For example Ncat funded their whole Student Center by charging the students $400ish in student fees.. That would never fly in the state of Louisiana. There needs to be a lot of changes

Lol just frustrating. I mean I look at the new buildings going up across most of our hbcus,,, yet when was the last academic building bulit on SU campus. Besides the sports intramural building which was mostly paid by federal funding and most hbcus receive funding for new intramural building.. The advocate earlier this year talked about a backlog, Higher education is a Business idc how much history is at SU why would I pay the school anything when most of the buildings need to be torn down.., when I can go to PVAM or Ncat and learn in a new buildings.. Its that simple.. Kids now want NEW..
