WEST POINT, Ala. (AP) - Four Alabama youths are accused of stealing a goat, beating the animal and then tossing it from an 18-foot-high bridge into shallow water below, where it died.

Authorities say the suspects videotaped the crime, which led to their arrests.

The Cullman Times reports (http://bit.ly/13rINCW ) that the four West Point juveniles were being held at a juvenile facility on felony theft and misdemeanor cruelty to animal charges. Their names were not released because they are juveniles.

Cullman County sheriff's officials say they stole the young goat the night of Feb. 22. Authorities say its legs appear to have been bound when it was thrown over the bridge.

Shame at what they did to that Goat. I like them mofos. They are some funny animals. LOL.

JState83 ain't going to like what some young neck Falcon fans (I assume some Bama folks root for the ATL teams) did to a Goat.

This is just wrong............They didn't even BBQ him afterwards.

Man this some bullshit right hur. They kilt a goat? A SCRIMMA goat you say?!

Shit! :slap:  :uzi: *puts right hand on pistol*

Man, I've tried to eat goat on several occasions and I just can't eat it all because of the taste.

If it was a old goat, I can understand.
Best to process them before wear and tear get on them. Within a year old for slaughter for the meat to taste right. And make sure they ain't walking around eating anything they see. FARM RAISED. They ain't hard to find around here.

I've had farm raised and store bought. I didn't like the gamey taste.

There is something my uncle marinates the goat meat in for like two days before he cooks it to get rid of that original taste and to tenderize it. As he would say, everybody does not know how to cook goat. Yall got me thinking about a good goat sandwich now LOL

You can marinate it in Italian dressing and it will take the game taste out of it. Deer also can be done this way.

I'm as country as country gets but I can't eat any of that. I haven't had rabbit since I was maybe 6 or 7. I think it's the thought of eating those animals more than anything that makes me not want to eat them. I don't even eat fish. I used to fish so much as a kid that I hated the taste of fish. My wife and kids eat all types of fish but I can't stomach it. The smell makes me sick.

If the taste can be masked with seasoning or something, I would try it again. My wife seasons the goat and lamb that she cooks but it still has that gamey taste.

The best way I have tried GOAT is on the grill.

I BBQed some goat meat and put it in the same pan as the rest of the meat. I told people at the BBQ goat meat was in the pan and pointed it out. They either forgot and didn't know the difference or was too drunk to tell the difference. All they knew was it had BBQ sause on it and it was good.
