That's just not right. The teams have identical records, SU beat them head to head, and how the hell does a team leap frog another just because they beat up on an over-rated BCC.

Actually they didn't beat up on Bcc, Bcc beat up on them from what I read. :D Btw the score was 13-7.

BCC is surely overated and has been for quite sometime. This east coast bias persist. What they are doing is putting NC A&T in a position to win their national title. They are hoping like hell Southern U beats Gram to give A&T the title. These self proclaim elitist from the east are no better than Jim Crow in my eyes.

I wouldn't be surprised if those east-coast biased Sheridan pollsters gave it to A&T regardless of the Bayou Classic outcome. And if A&T should win a game in the D-IAA playoff or look half-way respectable even while losing the SWAC can forget the champion coming from its conference.

This is typical Sheridan polling.

Regards.

Nobody asked ya'll to play Allen and lose to Alcorn. you played A&t in week three....haven't you all heard of the week later theory??? It overrides head to head competion. Teams can get better and teams can get worse.

You have an interesting thought process.

It's called logic. Remember when SU whooped Hampton and a few weeks later in the SAME season they drug ya'll?? Maybe SU and A&T needs to play again.

That is not logic but rather stupidity. In regards to the Hampton game, I remember playing then 1 week after dragging Jackson State all over B'ham at the SCG and them waiting to play us off for 3 weeks. Your stupidity and defense of Dumbbell is becoming legendary.

Well when Hughes is the coach, expect that. However, I can see good justification for why A&T is ranked ahead of SU.

Is somebody else posting under Tigerpride's name? He's actually making sense! :)

I think pollsters frown upon inconsistancy. SU lost to a team with a losing record. SU was a better team than A&T in Vegas, no doubt, but SU has shown signs of inconsistency.
Question: If SU somehow loses to Lincoln or TxSU, should they still be ranked above A&T? Should they be ranked at all?

Ok than explain why SU moved up in the major polls?

I understand what your thought process is but you forgot one thing. This is a BCF poll where all hbcu's are included and from time to they have name D2/NAIA schools the National champs so that rationale was never in the equation.

You can't very well say that they're good enough to deserve your highest status than turnaround and punish a school for playing and beating the snot out of um now can you?

"inconsistency"

I think that word means something that isn't done on a regular basis, now how winning 7 out 8 games isn't inconsistence is beyond me, maybe you can explain. I'm sure you'll come up with something.

This sounds very similiar to rationales that a welfare queen would give. I just think it is sad to rationalize something that you don't earn (with no pun intended). I guess it is a sign of the time....wanting something for nothing. A&T is good but not #2 or #1 (maybe 3).

Simple. When you play up to your potential on some Saturdays and beat good teams, but lose to bad teams on other Saturdays. Not a hard concept.

consistency
SYLLABICATION: con?sis?ten?cy
PRONUNCIATION: AUDIO: kn-sstn-s KEY
NOUN: Inflected forms: pl. con?sis?ten?cies
1a. Agreement or logical coherence among things or parts: a rambling argument that lacked any consistency. b. Correspondence among related aspects; compatibility: questioned the consistency of the administration's actions with its stated policy.
2. Reliability or uniformity of successive results or events: pitched with remarkable consistency throughout the season.
3. Degree of density, firmness, or viscosity: beat the mixture to the consistency of soft butter.

I don't see the words potential or any reference to beating good teams, but losing to bad teams, but I knew you'd do your best rush limbaugh act.

Remember when Southern came to Jackson and drug JSU, and met them again in Birmingham drug them again. Another year, we played FAMU in the Georgia dome and beat them, and played them again in the Heritage Bowl and beat them again. IF Southern played A&T again today, you can't say A&T will win this time.<Br> You call us inconsistent, but we lost by 2 points with Carrie having the game of his career and beat everyone else by at least 10 points, including 3 other team that were in the top 10 at one time or another. This is some crap, and you just mad 'cause JSU is so sorry with thier dumb coach. The poll is very east coast biased.

Because of who SU beat on last weekend. An NAIA team.....

And you can't say that you all will beat A&T again just because Su beat some people twice in a season a while back. Different teams, new era. Leave that SCHIT in the past......

Exactly. If your team was consistent, you would have drug Alcorn the way D-2 Fort Valley State drug them. SU is still a very good team though, but people do lose a little respect for you if you dont come to play every saturday, even against weaker competition.
