Hill, that would not be too surprising. We know who to keep our eye on at JSU. As long as it ain't football, basketball, or baseball, it will not matter much to most alums.

Regardless, this is a diversion from the topic when Panthro wanted to talk about broke schools. He had to try to add something in to make him look like he knew something. When the violations come out, we will deal with it but you have to realize that your source is well, he's a good person but still young....he had a lot to learn about how things work.

Of course we are making a few bucks, tickets sales have are up over 300% since Hardman. The fact that the SWAC allowed SU/UAPB to not play in 2004 really hurt the budget. UAPB was depending on that game, coupled with SU's fan base to cover the cost. We almost lost our football program. It was at that time that UAPB focused more on ticket sales and CLASSICS to fund the program. The fact that majority of the SWAC depend on OTHER SCHOOLS to fill up their stadiums is WELFARE. The 9 game mandate is welfare, it guarantees a visit from the SUs, JSUs, etc of the SWAC. This must stop. Once it stops, then schools will be forced to seek revenue ELSEWHERE. (See your post above about UAPB seeking TV action that has nothing to do with the SWAC). That is what an AD does, he should find ways to generate money for his program.

bottom line...UAPB at the time was the only 1-AA in the state..they had the edge on technology and could've been at the forefront of alot of things but they have never took advantage of it....that door is closing as I type...
