The SEC has called a Thursday meeting to "decide whether to terminate Louisiana State University ('LSU') as an SEC member institution," according to an amended complaint the conference filed Tuesday morning in its lawsuit against LSU.
Under SEC rules, at least 11 presidents must vote in favor of termination in order for a school to be expelled from the 16-member conference.
"For more than a week now … the belief is that the presidents have the necessary votes to place LSU on probation at the very least, if not fully booting the university,"
