Scottie Pippen: LeBron might be better than Michael Jordan

This was posted after game 1.
Now we have game 2 in the books.

Brave,
where you at?
:scared::scared:

Oh I'm here. Did you watch that game? The only way Miami can lose to Dallas is if 'Egos' get in the way & that is what happened...courtesy of LBJ. If they play team ball like they have been the entire playoffs then this will be 'laughers' the rest of the way & it will be over by game 5.

There is nothing Dallas can do with Miami if they play the way they can...that was evident in game 2.

Along with some help from the refs. Now, Miami will get some help from the refs to make the series 2-1 Miami. You know this series is going six games so they can make some money.

why are you Scottie...uh I mean Lebron James apologist not discussing what is REAL?

Here promises to be the perilous path of chasing a title with Dwyane Wade(notes), undertaking everything with the franchise star most responsible for raising a Miami Heat banner five years ago. Biggest stage in the world, biggest moment of his basketball life, and LeBron James(notes) has clearly come to terms with the fact he’s slowly, surely been reduced to the sidekick in these NBA Finals.

Real always recognize Real

Scottie Pippen (Robin) is looking more and more STUPID. :retard::retard:

Lebron put up a whopping 8 points, none in the 4th. :smh:

It's obvious Lebron put up 8 points by "Choice"... not saying I agree with his tatics... But seems like it's a mis-understanding going on amongst him and D.Wade

LeBron James: Is James Closer to Scottie Pippen Than Michael Jordan?

LeBron James Takes a Backseat to Dwayne Wade on The Miami Heat in The 2011 NBA Finals

The Game Three performance of LeBron James was efficient, yet unspectacular. After Scottie Pippen came out and called him potentially the greatest of all-time, James was an afterthought to the Dwyane Wade show (29 points and 11 rebounds) in Sunday's 88-86 win.

I TOTALLY agree!!!!

and the last paragraph is spot on (although if James is doing nothing "by choice", then I kinda question the team player part...

Credit James for being a team player, but cancel the title of "greatest player ever" when referring to him. Maybe "The King" should switch his name to the "Prince".

He is the second best player on his team...just like Pippen.
:scared:

I wonder if Pippen-longstocking is still saying that after LBJ disappeared the other night...

Speaking on ESPN Radio on Friday morning, in the wake of the Miami Heat eliminating the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference finals, Scottie Pippen warned not to sell Heat forward LeBron James short.

"Michael Jordan is probably the greatest scorer to ever play in the game, but I may go as far to say LeBron James is probably the greatest player to ever play the game," said Pippen, who is still affiliated with the Bulls but also has a South Florida residence.

"Not only can he score at will, but he keeps everybody involved. You have to be on your Ps and Qs because everybody is a threat to score when he's on the floor. Not only that, LeBron James will dominate the game on the offensive end and he's able to do it on the defensive end as well. He can get in those passing lanes and dominate the game."

Apparently, I watch games differently than the rest. I didn't see it as him disappearing, I saw him deferring to DWade who Dallas doesn't have a matchup for. Neither do they have one for LeBron, but with Wade going good...I can see him deferring. Personally, I think he took it a level that wasn't conducive to winning but had he taken more shots the criticism would be that he "should have let Wade go...he was hot".

If I would be critical of anything from James, it would be that his energy and focus on the defensive end wasn't there. Personally, I think LJ is too unselfish and worries too much about what folks say. That's one area where he appears to be different from MJ and Kobe...those two didn't care about what folks thought of them. They were comfortable being dickheads with their teammates as long as they got the win. That's not a knock on those two...but actually a compliment to their focus on what is important winning and being "The Man".

Dayum dude, that is exactly what I've been thinking. Exactly.

ummmm.....When you have been called the best to ever play the game, and you proceed to score a TOTAL of 8 damn points AND go scoreless in the 4th quarter of a close game IN THE FINALS, that's called disappearing. (among other things)

Man that dude had 8 points in the Finals in a close game. They clearly started trapping Wade. LeBron even had Jason Kidd & Terry on him and he still did nothing. I agree with Sutr96...it was by 'choice' because there is no way I believe Kidd or Terry can guard Lebron James. The Sad thing is that he just didn't care to win...& that was by choice too.

He's playing with fire in the NBA Finals because he knows they are superior to Dallas. I don't think the Finals is a place to chose not to play hard.

I don't think LeBron has ever stated that he's the GREATEST...I've heard him say that no one person can guard him one on one. That's a true statement for him and the rest of the top guys in the league. As for him not caring... Not sure about all of that. He merely allowed a teammate with the hot hand be the focal point of the offense.

I think we have let the media and talking heads influence us with that "go to guy", "closer" junk. The guy with the best shot, take the shot...and as far as having a go to guy, why wasn't Wade belittled when LeBron was closing the show against Boston and Chicago? I'm not defending LBJ as much as I'm questioning the ridiculousness (is that a word) of the "He disappeared" propaganda that's being spread.

Those guys were role players. Only Pip could have stood on his own. I could shoot better than Rodman. HIs role was rebounder. Kukoc never lived up to the billing. Jordan made them better but still had to carry the team. James can not and did not carry his team to championships. Even now others are carrying the team.
Dennis Rodman -- HOFer
Scottie Pippen -- HOFer
Toni Kukoc -- Nine time European Player of the Year
Horace Grant -- Four time All-NBA Second Team Defense

While these guys weren't on Jordan's level, they were no slouches either. Name one guy who played with LeBron in Cleveland who came close to these credentials?

Because even though Wade was struggling (against Chicago-not Boston) he was still playing hard. Plus he made some big shots in the clutch.

Tonight you are atleast seeing LeBron trying and he has 9 points @ halftime. A guy like him can manufacture points even when things aren't going well. 8 points for him in a game like Game 4 is inexcusable.

bump

man this thread is so terrible now. I just wonder what Pippen was thinking.

I think this shows you how good Magic, Jordan, Shaq, Kobe, and Duncan were.

The "but Jordan had Pippen" (Magic had Kareem, Shaq had Kobe, etc...) arguments aren't even worth mentioning anymore.

No more excuses.

Question now is...does Lebron have it in him to look at his game, improve his weaknesses and become a legit winner against all odds.

To where? The No. 7 and seed in the West when all of his teammates is inferior?

Not the same. Kobe was left scraps when Shaq left...But when he got Gasol they went to the finals and should have won.. With Sasha,Turioff,Walton, Radmonivich,mabenga...A hurt Tevor ariza and bynum...Come on man that team was flawed but the carried them to the finals...Then back to the title twice...And he carried the Lakers when shaq was out hurt, in foul trouble and during the 4th qtr when hack a shack was institued...

Y'all made some excuses for Lebron on this thread. I could bury y'all with them comments but I will take the high road lol. Thanks MH for keeping it real!!
