If JSU plays the rest of the season the way they played those last few minutes of that game, they could be SWAC Champs.
Now, the question is will JSU have anything left for the Southern Heritage Classic? TnSt. is going to probably re-evaluate their defensive strategy after seeing this game.

It really doesn't. But what is does, is show that your kids never give up. They kept playing when the score was 42-10.

And we still wound up with 105 plays and Kent throw 41-63, 540 yards passing, 5 TDs, but 4 int's. 742 total yards


Simple execution mistakes killed us this week. Last week it was poor play-calling.

So, yeah, it's a loss and it hurts, but it gives me some hope for the rest of the season. If we can play a complete game like we played the 4th quarter, we should'nt lose to anybody.....

Taylor-Made'90, you are forgetting one thing, the TEAM Jackson State lost to tonight, is the SAME one that lost to a Division II School last week! :lmao:

Alcorn is at the one inch line of GSU on a diving catch by Calvin Johnson (I think that was his name)!! Grambling could be in trouble!!! They are in trouble!!!

I'm not forgetting anything....Just like the team we lost to last week, just beat 2001 Big 10 Champ Illinois today...

The fact remains that we've got goo-goo-gobs of talent. We just got to put it together. And I don't mind saying that, since it's early in the season. Now if I'm still saying this and it'd mid-October, then there's a problem.....So, go ahead and smack away......

I'm staying on the ship with Kent and Company. Whether we sink or sail.......

The Alcorn-Grambling game has been a game of turnovers. Both teams haven't been able to hold on to the ball.
