Saturday Basketball scores

Well it looks like we're out of our shooting slump. Forbes and Norwood were on fire by the second half. If we play like we played in the second have yesterday, It's going to be trouble in the SWAC. i don't know what the problem was but I guess Strib fixed it.

You know they had Bob the Builder, Blue's Clues and someone's baby shower to go too.

explain to me the "sellout" with all those empty seats...

then get back to me..better yet..when you played in the tournament semis you failed to sell out so case closed.

Last season, the "pattycake tournament" was not in town. That is the reason for the 10k(inflated than a mugg).

The 10k from last year was not inflated at all. I was in the middle of it. In fact, it was listed as about 8,100 (capacity seating), but there was standing room only, and PLENTY of people standing.

I'll bite the bullet on this one and say moving this game to the Toyota Center was not a good move. Good idea, but neither school has the team this year that they thought they would. Even though both games were decided by only 4 points.

I wouldn't guage Houston's willingness to attend by that game though. The marketing was worse for this game than the first when nobody was in school.I know a lot of people who didn't even realize the game was this past weekend, then when they found out the ticket prices, made other plans. Plus I know a few people that vowed they wouldn't go back to the Toyota Center because of parking (I saw signs of up to $10).

I think the Toyota Center was a terrific idea in principle, yet it sucked the spirit and life right out of the game. There wasn't even a lot of trash talking going on.

i am going to tell you one more time.... STUDENTS LEFT DURING HALFTIME... it was a "sellout" because it was no more tickets to sale. (Isnt that what a sellout is).... A lot of people never sat down and walked around the lobby/concession area, after halftime they dipped to the club.

No , thats Black College Football.........

I've never been to a basketball game where folks stand in the lobby for a half and then leave. It's not like they are there for the half-time show, but we are talking about Bama's.

Some people just dont understand..... Montgomery/Huntsville aint NOWHERE near the size of Houston... the Bama St/AAMU game is a weekend event.... IF you dont leave by the half you WONT get in ANY club in the city. Students want to party and probably could care less who wins the basketball game or not. The only way it will stop is if the game is moved to noon or earlier in the day. It is the same way at the AAMU-Tuskegee game. Its more of a social thing than anything.

sorry didnt want the post the pics because I took them in the wrong format and they are too big, but I just need to prove a point.
