Saban staying at Bama

Its official.

Roll Tide Roll!!!!

Where he should. Texas never should have even looked his way. They need a young coach. I predict Saban to start getting his arse kicked more and more each year as he get older. It is inevitable that the young hungrier and innovative coaches start taking these older guys to the woodshed.

Now if folks were smart they would steal Kirby Smart from Bama as a head coach.

Texas needs better assistants. Not necessarily a younger head coach.

I don't know JR, Saban last several recruiting classes were pretty much at the top of the food chain and he is running #1 in the early recruiting game for 2014. But the truth of the matter is in spite of all of the hype, Alabama has only won the SEC West only 3 times since 2000. Those 3 national titles make it seem like they have been making more noise than they have been over the last 13 seasons in that divison.

SEC West Champions Since 2000
1) LSU 5
2) Auburn 4
3) Alabama 3
4) Arkansas 1

He is 7-5 in November. His methods take a toll on players. Recruiting classes are nice. But we all know they don't guarantee
wins. I think Malzhan is going to be a problem for him and Les is going to be loaded next year with a veteran team and an explosive Qb.

LMAO!!! You sound like Saban is in his 90's. He's only 62 years old. Sixty two. Bowden and Paterno were still winning in their eighties. Spurrier is about 69, and I'd take him over any 45 year old you could name. Saban has at least ten more good coaching years in him. At least ten. Get used to it America, Nick ain't going nowhere, and Bama ain't either.

Spurrier arse ain't trying to win big. He so racist he will not recruit a black Qb to save his life. If he had Tahj Boyd he would have played for the SEC title. So you can have that redneck.

I know you think Saban ain't never gone lose. But it's about to get rough for him in the SEC.

JR, nobody wins forever. Nobody. I think that Malzahn poses the biggest threat to Saban because of the offense he runs. You can stick a fork in Les Miles. He is done. But Saban has several more National Championships up his sleeve. Several. Get used to it JR...

I'm really interested in seeing LSU freshman QB lead them in their bowl game. If LSU gets Fournette next year, they will be that much more explosive.....

I don't think you can stick a fork in Les. However, I did notice Saban schedule a bi week before the OM game in 2014. :emlaugh:

Saban vs. Miles

Miles 5
Saban 5

I've been saying that for years........Damn Shame! :smh:  :emlaugh:

Steve Spurrier is doing perfectly fine at South Carolina. They had 2 bad defensive performances against Tennessee and Georgia. Conner Shaw has been a good QB for his team.

Did Tahj Boyd want to go to South Carolina?

Yes, I agree that they are doing fine. That doesn't negate the fact that he doesn't play black QB(s) though. That is his history and probably why he will never win a National Championship. It says a lot about his mind set too......

JR you are incorrect with that. Lou Holtz(in his late 60s to early 70s) rebuilt South Carolina from a doormat into a 6-8 win program, which then Spurrier (also in his late 60s to early 70s) has turned them into an SEC contender. Coaches getting older doesn't mean anything especially if they get young, energetic assistants.

He has his national championship already, just not with South Carolina. The playoff may change that. I mean did Tahj Boyd say he wanted to go to South Carolina? He had no problem owning LSU and the SEC while at Florida without the services of a black QB. Can't explain that, but there are plenty of schools that don't have black QBs and we don't accuse their coaches of being racist. I mean come on, Spurrier's teams are 97% black.

I am sure he didn't with Spurrier never showing he would play a black Qb. The ND Qb Goldston is from South Carolina. I guess he didn't want to go either. Don't you defend that redneck.

The implications of him not playing a black QB comes from the old fallacy that blacks are not smart enough to play that position. He will not win a National Title at S.C. is what I should have said. That tells me all I need to know about him.........I'm not talking about "plenty of school." I am talking about Spurrier........

How many years ago is that? There were a lot of older coaches then. The trend is turning. And Spurrier still keeps falling short. New age. Coaching hires are getting younger. These assistants ain't waiting for these older coaches to retire. Schools are willing to roll the dice on these young guys.

He will also keep falling short because he will not recruit and play the best QB not matter what color he is......

You shole is right JRock. That's why he fit in so well at his alma mater. Took Ron Zook to go recruit a black Qb to lead the Gators and Urban to take them to the title. One of the things that Urban has said he is glad to be away from is having to explain why he is recruiting a black Qb. Not an issue in Cbus. Don't even have one on the roster. Lol.
