I can. As someone mentioned, last year a good number of folks on Facebook had changed their avis to A&T after Alcorn won last year and mocked them when A&T won (most of it was smack and not serious but some were serious). Grambling was the best regular season team last year but got shell shocked so a number of them were bitter as well.

If some of these Alcorn folks wanna feel that way can you really blame them?

I grew up watching and hearing old stories about how the Swac once dominated the Meac in football and basketball. Dating back to the late 90s and early 2000s things have changed in the Meac's favor. Yes Ken it makes me sick when the Swac loses to the Meac or the Meac accomplishes something recently that the Swac hasn't. Things must change beginning this weekend with Grambling winning for the Swac and the Swac returning to dominance over the Meac.

I'm JSU alum and I'm routing for Grambling this weekend. I'll always debate and route for a Swac school over the Meac in anything and I'll always route for an HBCU over any PWI.
 
Anyone who is part of the SWAC that doesn't cheer for GSU or didn't cheer for Alcorn last year suffers from VBPS.

Dear Alcornites

You'll know damn well the "majority" of the Swac was pulling for you'll last year. So what if a few fellow Swac institutions alum & current students routed against you. The majority didnt route against you. At the end of the day, the Swac is the most traditional, successful, and dominant HBCU conference there is. We don't want anyone from the Siac, Ciaa, & damn sure the Meac to have absolutely no bragging rights towards the Swac. I along with fellow Jacksonians routed for you last year and this year we're routing for Grambling because they are from the Swac. We suggest you do the same. If not oh well.

I can relate. A few moons ago, I changed my avatar here in this spot to hbu because I was PO'd @ the dumb shat PV was doing w/ their "recruitment" haphazardousness.that lacked any semblance of local-type recruiting, imho, and my younger cuzzo who grads next week and starts his masters program is still playing football there for his final year next fall. I was mad @ the dumb fuggras but I never said this wasn't my school. They're just prone to doing dumb shit as much as they can w/out any semblance of forethought. :D :D :D :D rotflol!
 
I am an Alcornite till to the end, but I am still rooting for Grambling to win, so don't heap all of us together. A lot of my fellow Alcornites are still upset from last year, because I was. I want the SWAC to succeed at all cost though. [Sidenote: I live in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area and I work with a lot NCCU grads and I talk a lot noise about MEAC and how lame they are, and how the SWAC is greater, so Grambling please the ish out them Eagles.:)]

i was on the bus with some high school basketball players last year on the way to play a game and was watching the game on my phone cheering and yelling my ass off for Alcorn. one of the players ask me was that my school playing.
It's just like with your siblings, you can talk shit about em and fight all day but the minute somebody else outside the family say something, thats yo ass....as much as we hate and smack each other, i will always root for any of the swac schools to win OOC games.....

I wouldn't support Grambling either if I had a 17-0 lead at half time and let them score 27 on me in the second half..., I would be a bitter brave also, and yes I still have my A&T hat
