ROLL CALL....2007 Honda BTOB's....

I'm just tickled at new school saying "Jennifer Hudson' rendition whereas old school still hear "Jennifer Holiday'. :) That is what I found funny.

I think Jennifer Hudson struggles through out the song, I know she couldn?t sing the song like Jennifer Holiday but dayum.

That's my brother Zack (MMH 99) that did the skit with the singer.

I had a pretty good time at the Honda......props to the Delta Theta chapter for reppin on the field with MMH!!! Man I got too crunk in the stands when I saw ya'll!!! :jump:

All the bands did a good job........I'on feel like giving a run down right now but I will say this- Norfolk State was the TRUTH.

So the girl was singing..."I'm not going?"

I think they need to double the ticket price for this event if it is selling out. Then maybe than can increase the payout amount given to the bands.

I don't know about doubling the ticket price.
Part of the reason it sells as well as it does is because the tickets are only $10.
Not to mention, HONDA brings back a few of those bands more than once. People aren't going to be too happy about a jump in price, especially if HONDA has returning bands.

I just like to mess with ya'll about that. The man is a genius.

I know! :D

Yeah, Mr. Adams was something SERIOUS! He was a true treasure at JSU and we greatly admired him. And he was funny in the bandroom, too... and scary--- intimidating at times! Dude could point you out when the entire band would be playing and tell you if you were playing a wrong or something!

You gets NOTHING in 2007 for $10. One part of the problem is that they are only giving out $10,000. Maybe if they gave out more, you would get more bands willing to come. You know some of "us" cost more than others. :D

Yeah...ONE of those parents that have SEEN your post you IDOIT!!!!!!!!!
What in the He!! are you talking about dude!!! I stated my opinion, even offered to shut up and you still attack me! First of all, check your spelling. IDOIT is spelled IDIOT?
Oh well, your name is 1sgt so I guess that means you're either Army or prior Army. That certainly explains the stupidity!!!
How about you PM me directly so we leave everyone else out of this!

I had so much fun.

NSU was GREAT!!!!

My word's exactly that was my first time seeing Nsu, Bcc Both bands did a great job. Nsu show was crazy, Bcc had the best rendition of Im telling you with that trumpet solo. Langston U, Albany State(clean drill) did good jobs as well

Roi,

I was at the Press Conference that Friday. I seemed to be the only person asking questions. That was not mentioned.

But I asked about increasing the number of schools and When would T-Shirts, etc be sold so fans can have soemthign to say that ..Hey I was at the 2007 Honda...

The T-Shirts, etc answer was.....They had still yet to receive a decent proposal....It was said that EVERYONE that submitted was trying to make a MAJOR killing. But I guess that those trying KNOW thw impact cause the Honda sells out.

But this being the 5th Annual Honda....
I would said then.....

Hey....You say this offer....
We say this........................

THere is NO EXCUSE that a vendor COULD NOT have been found to met the demands to produce T-Shirts, etc for this event......

Increasing the number of schools? Do you mean adding more bands to play? They don't need to add any more bands to participate. The event is already a 3-hour show.

The HONDA BOTB has potential to do all sorts of great things that can give even greater exposure to the HBCUs that are participating. But I don't think they are trying to take it there. It's more like: It's not broke, so why fix it?

Shid, basically. I think this is the second year in a row that it done sold out, so they must be doing something right.

Only thing I wish they would change is exposing other bands instead of the same ones. Other than that, no complaints here.

Like Grambling and Jackson State, I think Alabama State, AAMU and Prairie View should withdraw their names from the HONDA ballots next year and give the other SWAC bands an opportunity to participate. You think Norfolk State received rave reviews, wait until they hear and see Texas Southern :what: in Atlanta!

Man, this is the only exposure that PV gets outside of Texas. They ain't withdrawing. With GSU, SU, and JSU not participating, they are almost guaranteed to go next year. This is good for unknowns like BCC and PV.

You going a little too far now......

LOL!!!

From what I've heard and read, it couldn't get no worse than the showing by alabama state and pv, so why not let alcorn go? valley's another story though.

That's what the SWAC gets for sending "boys" to Atlanta to do the work of the BOOM!!
