Just days ago his name came up in a conversation I was having. He didn't shy away from covering what white America considered controversial topics, and he gave voice and a fair platform to those so-called main stream media tried to ostracize.
Dr. Francis Cress-Welsing, Dr. John Henrik Clark, Dr. Khalid Al Mansour, Elijah Muhammad, Angela Davis and Albert Cleage are some of the notable black men and women he introduced to broader black audiences and the rest of America.
He was a pioneer and originator, one of kind in his time
