Report: Southern to Play at Louisiana Tech in 2018

LSU would be a nice payday since the schools are only 10 miles apart. I think them not scheduling HBCUs have something to do with Nick Saban locking out our schools. Bama don't play HBCUs either in football. Nick Saban definitely stop the flow of recruits from LSU when he coached there. I'm getting the feeling that Nick Saban might be a racist.

Before I even made it to your response I thought of this.

Auburn does but not Bama.
Mississippi State does but not Ole Miss (in football).
Arkansas doesn't play in-state schools period lol (even fans from Arkansas State were mad that the Razorbacks played Alcorn before they would play them or CAU. Surprised UA hasn't played UAPB similar to PV/TAMU since they're actually in their system)

Outside of the SWAC, UT doesn't play TSU. USC doesn't play SCSU but Clemson will. Florida doesn't play FAMU or BC. Not surprised that Miami does simply because of location

What gets me, all the other Louisiana FBS programs (LaTech, ULL, ULM, and Tulane) are willing to play HBCUs except LSU. They have yet to play one HBCU in football.

The state of South Carolina requires USC and Clemson to play all FCS programs on a rotation basis South Carolina state and USC have played each other

And there have been talks that University of Tennessee is in talks to play Tennessee state

Can anyone from SU verify this.. former athletic director stated at the Press Club talk that LSU offered Southern a game but the amount was very laughable

A Louisiana legislator wants to do something like this. Yet, he had to change it to state that every Louisiana school must plan non-conference in state rival yearly on a rotational bases. So basically over a time period each school would play each other. Of course the LSU folks got mad which is why his thoughts have not gained traction.

Its going to happen
rather we like it or not
The city and other state officials shut it down when TC was trying to get them to schedule SU. The second a Lsu fan throws a cup of drink at a SU fan, or gets in a SU fans face like they do their opponents, it would be world war 6. The folks in power know the potential of problems, so it wont happening. The other sports are ok, just not football. Btw their African American associate AD Verge Ausberry was heard telling folks, he would never schedule SU or Gram because those N words would come f up our campus.

Dude is a white man's n-word. Met a lot of his types at Arkansas.

I also agree once a LSU fan gets in to a SU fan's face that will be broadcasted on CNN and ESPN. The sad part is people wonder why most black Louisianans hate LSU.

Man fugg Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU and Tennessee! Can't be shit but a Good Ole Boy thing with these schools cause there is no way in hell that none of these should not have played an HBCU by now. They can filter that money to the other FCS schools but not one HBCU?!!! Shiiidddd that aint nothing but the race card. No other way and I do mean NO other way to look at it.

Florida did play FAMU before.

What's going to stop them from playing FAMU or BCU in the future is that they only play an FCS opponent during that week before the Florida State game, which is when FAMU plays BCU in the Florida Classic.

Y'all know doggone well the last thing LSU and it's fans want to do is write a $500-600,000 check to the black schools. Now folks need to be asking why LSU has been avoiding our men's basketball team the past 5 seasons, and why their women suddenly don't want to play us either. I'm almost certain they trying to avoid catching that L from us in basketball. lol

I give Bama a slither of hope since they hired someone from a HBCU as their head basketball coach, but their football program is the same racist program when Bear Bryant was there and probably worse. I don't think Nick Saban has a George Wallace type telling him not to play HBCUs. If Auburn can do it, Bama can do it too.

unlike the normal fcs pwc, you don't have a large amount of students, employees, fans who are t-shirt fans and would work for free over there if they could...they'll take anything to play them

when Dooley worked at La Tech, he told any and everyone whatever LSU does, that's what he wants to do
