Independent Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan, a frequent critic of President Trump, could make a decision on a presidential run “soon,” his campaign said on Wednesday, a move that could potentially complicate Trump’s ability to consolidate right-leaning voters in November.

“In mid-February, Justin Amash paused active campaigning for his congressional seat to carefully consider a presidential run. He has been discussing the potential campaign with his family, his friends, his team, and others, and a decision can be expected soon,” his campaign said in a statement Wednesday morning.

A Republican-turned-independent who has repeatedly declined to rule out a White House bid, Amash hinted at a looming decision on a presidential run on Twitter earlier this week, when he criticized Trump’s insistence that he, and not governors, would decide when states begin reopening.

Ralph Nader and Jill Stein to *rump's rescue....... :(

Do Not Forget History.....Ralph Nader...Jill Stein

Not to let facts get in the way of lazy, ahistorical narratives, but the states Nader performed best in were overwhelmingly carried by Gore (you know, the guy who couldn't even win his home state even though Clinton carried it twice). Stein (who somehow didn't cause Obama to lose in 2012) didn't tell Hillary to not bother campaigning in the Midwest. Also, this concept that third-party voters would've overwhelmingly gone to Gore or Clinton, as opposed to not voting at all, also isn't rooted in the reality of how third-party voters move.

Now who can argue with that? LOL!!!!

All I know is they were in the mix and the dems lost. We can suppose until the cows come home but those Naders and Steins siphoned votes.

That argument would also mean that Gary Johnson siphoned voted from Trump, meaning his margin would have been even bigger. Regardless, people who believe Stein voters would've gone to Clinton have never actually spoken to Green Party voters. They would've stayed home in droves.
