Lemme just say that it WAS A BIG DEAL back in the day! Wow. That brought a huge smile to my face thinking back to how I felt watching 'my people' on tv. That was huge. Kinda like the older generation of black folks when they saw Diahann (sp) Carroll playing "Julia" on tv back in the day.
