Re: Ray Rice Full Knockout video

Donte' Stallworth killed someone while drunk driving and no one called for him to be cut? Where was the outrage?

No one needed to, the Browns cut him as soon as he was reinstated by the league.

Re: Ray Rice Full Knockout video

I don't think he should have been punished anymore than the 2 games he received because those were the rules in place when the incident occurred.

I would have preferred if Ray Rice stepped up himself and helped in raising awareness about domestic violence and helping to fight domestic violence.

Re: Ray Rice Full Knockout video

What an idiot...since dude been doing this (I'm guessing) they should suspend dude for the rest of the year...

Start cracking down on these dudes and OWNERS..everybody really..shat is getting outta hand...

with that said...

I don't feel sorry for his azz...

That wasn't intentional. That was an accident. Ray Rice's behavior was intentional, then he dragged the woman like she was a heavy suitcase.
I'm shocked that he's not spending time in jail regardless if the wife presses charges or not. There's proof that he assaulted a woman and knocked her out.
Who knows if this was his first time doing this? Seems like it wasn't.

Nah..you just don't throw haymakers like that on a woman...that's what dudes throw towards other dudes...

If I was the commish..his ass would be getting ready to start saying "Paper" or "Plastic"

I agree 100%

Re: Ray Rice Full Knockout video

Roger Goodell has announced that based on new video evidence that became available today he has indefinitely suspended Ray Rice.

I agree with you totally. But...it seems odd that he's already been punished and now a new video comes out so he gets punished again?

Either way...hopefully he learns his lesson and doesn't have this issue again and the NFL sticks to its new policy.

When you knowingly drive drunk it is intentional. Stallworth's incident was much worse given the outcome.

Re: Ray Rice Full Knockout video

I don't believe for one second that the NFL hadn't seen this video. They will deny it til the end, though. If Peter King said they told him they saw it during the summer (he's backtracking now and saying he won't refute their current statement), they saw it. The hotel also says they gave the tape to the league prior to the suspension.

He intentionally drove drunk, yes but did he intentionally try and kill the pedestrian? That's the issue we're discussing, not drunk driving.

The Baltimore Ravens announced the release of Ray Rice on Monday.

Shortly after, an NFL spokesperson announced that the running back has been suspended indefinitely.

A video emerged on TMZ of Rice punching his now-wife in an elevator. Rice was previously suspended two games on July 24 for violating the league's personal conduct policy for the same incident.

The Ravens supported Rice as an organization in the immediate aftermath of the incident back in March, but the release of this video changed their stance. The NFL said Monday that they had not seen the video during their investigation.

"We requested from law enforcement any and all information about the incident, including the video from inside the elevator. That video was not made available to us and no one in our office has seen it until today," the league said in a statement released to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.Since Rice's suspension, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced sweeping changes to the personal conduct policy concerning domestic violence cases. Violations regarding assault, battery, domestic violence or sexual assault that involve physical force "will be subject to a suspension without pay of six games for a first offense." A second offense will result in banishment from the NFL for at least one year.

He was cut and plus that was an accident. This was intentional plus adding on the video too. Smh. This day in age nothing is secret. That sort of thing brings out emotions in people. I think he should be able to play again and make a living but as a business sometimes you have to cut ties with bad PR

The catch was that the guy ran out into the street and the prosecutors couldn't determine whether even a sober person would have been able to avoid him.

.

The NFL suspension is one thing. The team deciding he was no longer worth the trouble after the release of this video is another. It may seem bad, but I can agree with the Ravens deciding to cut ties after the vid was released. How do we know Rice and his fiance didn't tell a story that was completely at odds with the vid?

He intentionally drove drunk, yes but did he intentionally try and kill his good friend? That's the issue we're discussing, not drunk driving.

Good friend??? He killed an innocent pedestrian who was walking in a cross walk. He knowing drove that car dunk and couldn't careless about the consequences.

There have been reports that the hotel offered it to the league but they bothered not to get it or view it. They knew what was on it but hoped it never saw the light of day. Now just like the first suspension and the backlash from it, they have been forced to be reactive rather than proactive.

Okay. I was wondering if the two were separate.

How do you know? Did he intentionally run down the pedestrian? Intent plays a huge role in such situations.
