Man, I saw Rutland. Unless y'all gave him a brain transplant, I'm not worried. And you talk about our guys being scared of something .... hell, Mosley and Rutland haven't excelled anywhere yet, otherwise, they wouldn't be at JSU. Same thing for your running backs. Your line did do the job last year no doubt, BUT they wore down a group that couldn't substitute like SU normally does, hence no response from that line. That's the difference. Just like you can replace people and have depth, we can too.
And as for skill, hell, you had better players in since the late 90's and we still whooped that azz so your talent level hasn't meant much in this series as of late.
You say we lost Landry and Coates .... yep, we did. Replacing two spots where JSU has to replace FIVE? And our QB knows what you do? Rutland nor Mosley have a clue what SU is gonna bring .... that would be an SU advantage.
I hate to tell you this, but you just named three reasons why you beat Southern the last two years. Oliver was elusive, Jaymar beat Marcus Wilkerson like he was play-doh in 2006, and Haw wore us down last year. Where will these three men be on October 4th? You are putting three guys who DON'T know what it is like to play in front of a hostile crowd or for that fact, a HUGE crowd in Memorial. No other game you have before us is gonna give them that experience. Add to the fact that you have two of your more traditional asswhoopins right before us in Tennessee State and Grambling ..... seriously, I'm just giving you the opportunity to chill a bit with all that noise. J-State could be a vastly different team by the time we get to Jackson :smh:

Comegy being there made a difference but not the main difference. Anytime you have a coaching change period, that makes a difference...especially when you've had 3 losing seasons.
SU didn't struggle against bell, in 2003 or 2005. I'll give it to J State, their game plan in those games were good. In 2005 our players had other things on their minds besides football. i.e. Katrina and Rita.
