“It’s taken my entire life to negotiate how to identify, and I’ve done a lot of research and a lot of studying,” she says. “I could have a long conversation, an academic conversation about that. I don’t know. I just feel like I didn’t mislead anybody; I didn’t deceive anybody. If people feel misled or deceived, then sorry that they feel that way, but I believe that’s more due to their definition and construct of race in their own minds than it is to my integrity or honesty, because I wouldn’t say I’m African American, but I would say I’m black, and there’s a difference in those terms.”

I still can't figure out why folks are mad at her. She is trying to be something that most folks with black skin isn't trying to be. Keep it real.

I would hope black folks don't think she is worse than Don Lemon and Raven Symone. At least served in the NAACP. A lot of people probably have forgotten about the Weather Underground of the 1960s. Martin Luther King marched with "some" whites in Selma.

Is those Black Boule Fools that got a problem with her. Have to watch those Black Boule people. They don't want to lose control of Free thinking Black People. Black Boule folks also detest Louis Farahhkhan.

It's a pattern they think no one notices.

Rachel Dolezal, the former NAACP leader from Spokane, Wash., who resigned after it came to light that she was falsely presenting herself as black, is jobless and may soon be homeless.

In an interview with The Guardian, Dolezal said the only work she's been offered is in reality TV and pornography. Although she’s applied for 100 jobs, she told The Guardian that no one will hire her and she's currently on food stamps and may soon be homeless....

I find her story interesting and see the hypocrisy of our society in it. So its ok for a man or a woman to defy biology/science and say they are the opposite gender or in cased you missed it, now its ok to say you are not a man or a woman because after all sex is not a binary choice like we thought it was (http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2016/06/oregon_court_allows_person_to.html).
So that's ok, buts its not ok for a white woman to say she's black even though race is not rooted in biology or any science and is a completely made up social construct? Our society is crazy. If a man can claim to be a woman or... no gender at all, then there are no rules and tyrone biggums truly can be white.
