I wonder if the drug test was given during the physical.
This is not finished. With this being a team test and not a league test, I wonder what the union will do.
While I listened to the Stews on 790 The Zone, I heard a lot of things. Anyway, if everything that I heard is true, Quincy should have know better.

Back when Q was at Georgia there were rumors that he was on coke. This was one of the reasons he supposedly left after his junior year. If this is true he is a hell of a lot dumber than Ricky Williams. He knew before he got there that Dallas would not tolerate another Michael Irvin. I've said all along that they were looking for a reason to get rid of him, and he gave them a damn good reason to cut him. I hate to see this happen to him but at least I can enjoy the fact that the cowboys are stuck with the absolute worst qb in NFL history. I think I will join Robber and have me some cognac also. I just won't be crying in mine. Nice to know the cowboys have a chance of going 0-16 this year.

Sources close to the team told ESPN and ESPN.com that Carter tested positive for an illegal substance prior to being released. ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli has confirmed that Carter spent time at a drug rehabilitation facility within the past 18 months. Carter already was in the NFL's substance abuse program, having tested positive for an illegal substance in the past.
It's unclear whether Carter failed a league- or club-administered drug test. But the possibility the test was given by the team, and not the NFL, drew the ire of union chief Gene Upshaw, according to The Washington Post.
"I just heard about this," Upshaw told the Post. "I won't comment on a drug case. I will say under our collective bargaining agreement a club cannot conduct its own, independent drug testing and impose its own discipline. They just can't do it."
League sources told ESPN.com that despite the positive test, Carter is not under suspension by the league.

I am probably the biggest cowboy lover ever, but i think they should have kept that man and made sure he got himself back together. I mean the man did take an overachieving team to the playoffs last year with no running game and a great defense. They should give the man some loyalty.
