Get a real grill................

The Weber Kettle Grill is "real" as grilling gets.

All that other stuff don't add NUTHIN' to the flavor.

I'd put my steaks cooked on the 18.5 inch Weber Kettle Grill up against ANYBODY'S on the SWAC Page.

Anybody.

In fact, why don't you organize the first annual TSPN BBQ Smackdown. We can hold it at Legion Field during the next SCG.

Sounds good?

Watch it nah. I take my grilling pretty seriously. I just yield to Fiyah because he's slightly older than I am and I was taught to respect my elders. :emlaugh:

I have the exact same setup Shaw has, because each situation is different, from smoking, grilling, and then bbq'ing various meats. :read: I'm a rib man myself, particularly pork. I'd have them bad boys so damned tender and full of spices, as soon as you try to pick a rib up, the bone just slides out of the meat. Also, I make my own bbq sauce from scratch. :read:

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...... :read:

A seasoned cast Iron grill will murder a webber kettle every time. Especially on any meat with bones in it. It will have those bones smoked. Ask any grill master. The weber kettle is good for grilling not BBQ..

now thats what I'm talking bout!

The ONLY bbq sauce I'll eat is homemade. The store bought versions aint good. At all.

Pretty much, sauce is sauce to me. but this sounds like another topic. Now I know a lot of folks who take somthing like Kraft bbq sauce and add things to it.

Deuce, I MIGHT have to agree here. There was "something" missing. Just not sure what. Don't know what the fugg bones have to do with anything but the turkey burgers were great. The ribs were missin "something". We must take this under further advisement and investigation.. :lecture:

We all have our preferences as far as what type or brand of grill to use, but ultimately it is the cook, not the grill that makes the difference.

And I agree that the Weber Kettle is good for grilling . . . that's about 99% of what I do. I rarely "BBQ". I've got friends who do most of the bbq'ing. I'm pretty much a "Grill" Master - steaks, chops, chicken, salmon, etc.

Man when you sm8ke meat you will understand. Cast Iron just does a better job when smoking meats over wood or charcoal. It seals in the flavor down to the bone. Beleive me I've had a kettle grill and I was doing everthing I've been doing since 93, but my meat taste better when I cook on my buddies home made cast iron grill. This things is black and compact and those ribs, come out great. Even Chicken comes out better. Just me.

No, actually I hired a Prairie View graduate to turn my meat for me.

Just kidding man. I use tongs, so that I don't puncture the meat.

I mentioned this a few pages ago when Taylor Made said polk wholes in your meat so it cooks faster...LOL:scared::scared::shame::shame:

Anyone that has to use watch to grill their meat doesn't need to be on the grill. Real grill masters just know when it is ready.

TP went to Ga Tech so I see why he can't cook. :scared: Only Ga fans and alumni can. Tech is so use to losing they never learn. :shame:
